Hello everyone, as the title indicates my daughters' IR-2 cases both show as Ready at the US Embassy in Manila. I created an USTRAVLEDOCS account for both to create a passport/visa return address. My question is can I also schedule an interview for them online through the same website? Or do I need for the Embassy/NVC to schedule it. From searching I have seen a mix of answers. I wanted to know what the prevailing opinion was.

Tax Filing Status question - no SSN, expired ITIN, pending AOS |

Yet another tax filing status question! Hi everyone, been scouring VJ for the past days but couldn't find the answer that applies to my situation. I'm the beneficiary, our AOS/EAD is pending and I don't have a SSN. I have an expired ITIN from when I was a grad student in GA, the last year I filed was for tax year 2017. When my husband (USC) files for 2021 taxes by April 2022, should he file as: 1 - MFS, then we file an amended return once I get my SSN. Not sure if this is relevant, our PD for EAD was June 2021 but there has been no movement since my biometrics appointment in Aug 2021. Or: 2 - MFJ, before which I should renew my expired ITIN so we can file jointly. I'm not sure about this option since technically I have a pending application for SSN with my EAD. I haven't had any income since 2020, so we are thinking MFJ would be the best option. Appreciate any advice and insights.

We sent out the I-751 today and I just realized I may have made a mistake and copied the k-1 visa page from my wife s passport and not the biographic page from the Philippines even though it is listed as the biographic page on the cover letter. Is this a serious mistake or will they just RFE? We included photos of the front and back of my wife s permanent resident card with the application.

My fiance was interviewed on January 13, after talking to the Consul, he was told that he was approved for visa and that his medical will expire in March so he is approved, now they asked him to wait to get an email from NBI because the Embassy needed a letter from the NBI regarding a case that was already cleared, after that, CEAC showed ISSUED, The NBI turned in the letter 1st week of February this year and my fiance was contacted by the Embassy telling him that his passport was returned and that he needed to change his pick up address (LBC), and they will send the visa and passport that day once it is updated (FEB 10). Address was updated within minutes and we have been waiting until yesterday. We have contacted the USDOC and all we keep getting was no passport info, i called the embassy last night and I was told that the passport and visa is still at the embassy waiting to be processed for mailing and i was told to wait, This morning when I woke up, I checked the CEAC website and it went from issued to READY....so now I am confused...Please help
