Which Processing Time is Correct?

First off, if this has been asked 100x, my apologies (but I did look for it :))

We are all very aware of the "Check Case Processing Times" on the USCIS website.

Now that the CSC for the I-129f has clicked to 14 months, it is making me wonder....

When I filed back in early February 2022, the site said 10 months (or there shortly after).

Now it shows 14 months.

Which timeframe would be / could be expected, the 10 months when I filed, or the current 14 months?

Why I ask is this little gem I found: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/more-info

(I just love it when the USCIS does math...)

Thank you all!

-Kurt

How Is the Case Inquiry Date Calculated?

This is how we calculate the case inquiry date:

Case Inquiry Date = [time to complete 93% of adjudicated cases] [today s date receipt date]

Example:

If you checked our processing times webpage on Jan. 1, 2022, for a form you filed on Jan. 1, 2021, and the time to complete 93% of adjudicated cases was 13 months, your case inquiry date would be calculated as:

Case Inquiry Date = [13 months] [Jan. 1, 2022 Jan. 1, 2021]

= [13 months] [12 months]

= one month

In this example, we estimate that you would be able to contact us in one month. The tool will provide the exact date for you. If the calculation for the case inquiry date produces a negative number, you will be able to submit a question about your case.

Ok so I made a small oops. On my wife's marriages I misspelled the last name by 1 letter, Defour instead of Dufour. Is there a way to correct that or do I just hope they notice it and correct it on their own or I guess they could send us an RFE for it. Is there anything I can do?

Hey everyone.

What's the best way to remit money to the Philippines nowadays? My mom has a dollar account with BDO.

Would bank-to-bank transfer be better in terms of taxes/ fees/ exchange rate?

US Tourist/Visitors Visa

My wife and I just got married and I just left her in the Philippines. I filed the I-130 tonight.

Is there any chance of getting her a tourist/visitors Visa to come here prior to us finishing our immigration process? She has a son who we will bring along in a couple of years, along with family so she has ties to go back. Plus she has a small baking business. Any thoughts or do they just frown upon this because they think they won't go back?

Thanks

Sputum nightmare!

Hello everyone. I have a problem with my mom's petition. Her case is expedited but it turns out that her sputum test at St. Lukes is positive. The problem is she is from the province and we will not be able to afford the everyday commute for 6 months to Manila and renting is out of the question too because it is expensive and she can not be by herself since she is almost 80 years old. So my brother and her went to a local DOH clinic where she lives and showed the positive test of St. Lukes so they tested her again and did x-rays and it came out negative. So what is freakin' me out is that theywould not give her the treatment because she is not sick at all. And we all know that the US embassy will not accept any other results besides St. Lukes. It will take 6 to 9 months at St. Lukes to finish the treatments and outside clinics treatment will last the same plus a year of waiting period before getting another medical. St. Lukes said it was the US embassy in Manila's rule. I think that they are making this into a business in expense of my mom's health. I am so stressed and frustrated, I do not know what to do? I just want my mom to spend what little time she has to get to know my son who she had not seen in person except on facebook. My dad who died in 2020 did not make it because the petition got on hold because of covid so it is just my mom now. Is there anyone here have the same experience like me? Please HELP!!!
