My fiance is currently in the states and after 3 months together here, we have decided to cancel our K1 paperwork, get married in September and have him stay in the US. Canada just announced that it will be opening the border to vaccinated travelers after Aug 9th. Of course he can't leave the country but am I able to go across the border to collect some of his belongings? If so, will I need to pay duty on them at all. How should I explain his belongings at the border? I don't want to risk anything with our application or raise any red flags. The items are already packed in boxes with labels of the contents for the border crossing. Thanks!

I have my K1 AOS interview next month and I have a few questions. 1. My medical exam was last done in my home country in January 2020. Would I have to get a new medical exam done prior to the interview? 2. Since I had already submitted an I-864 Affidavit of Support in my AOS package, do I not need to bring another one to the interview? Thanks everyone!

Curious if anyone can share their experience. I'm a Canadian citizen, married to US citizen and living in the US. My husband and I want to drive to Canada to reunite with family in August. Under the current criteria, I can't figure out if my husband can cross the border? I think I clearly qualify as a citizen, but is my husband ok to travel with me too reunite with his inlaws (my parents)? Has anyone done this and any hassle at the border?

Really need help guys!! I am married to a USCitizen and have our interview scheduled for July 26 week. PD is Aug 18, 2020. The issue is I am going to back to school for grad school in North Carolina and we have gotten an apartment there. We will split time between both places and will keep our Michigan place as our primary residence. Our licenses say Michigan address and that s what we submitted our application with. We own the Michigan place. Our lease for the apartment in North Carolina started July 24 and we will be moving in July 30. Should we be mentioning this during the interview if they ask if there was a change in address? My husband will work remotely and both our names are on the North Carolina lease and our house in Michigan.

Hello, While completely out of order, I had my USCIS medical exam today. We aren't at this step yet. We have filed an I-130 out of country. I'm Canadian, but because my husband is enlisted I have a family doctor in the US who is a Civil Surgeon (qualified to do American Immigration Exams). He told me to let him do it because it would save us the fees and hassle of doing so in Canada (the medical options are in Toronto, many hours from where I live). I called USCIS and they assured me it was ok to do this as long as I still understand the results are only valid for 2 years. I'm just wondering if anyone else who attended their interview in Montreal has had their medical completed in the US instead of Canada? I have the sealed envelope etc. Just want to know if anyone else has done this, and if thr Montreal consulate was difficult about it or understood? My US Dr actually out ranks to those available to do this within Canada. I'm really only looking for information from anyone who has done this, not hypothetical or suggestions. Please and thank you.
