US Immigration from Canada

My wife's young child still lives in the Philippines with grandparents and we're in the process of I-130. Next step once they are here I believe is the adoption process so we all have the same last name, US birth certificate, etc. We reside in PA and I cannot find any good resources online for what paperwork to file, and calling the local court is no help.

Seems straightforward, as wife has full custody, but we cannot figure out what we need to do as far as paperwork goes.

Does anyone have experience on this for Pennsylvania? We've done all the immigration paperwork on our own thanks to this website and we hate to pay for a lawyer as immigration in itself is so expensive, but if we need to go that route we will. Any idea what that would even cost?

I forgot to give in a form in a rfe so they denied. I have the form it is just my genuine mistake.
I m being told to file a i290b for motion to reopen and reconsider

And then being told to refile. Someone please help me.

Hi All, I would like to know few information for Steps after Interview process & visa approval.

1. Can I enter USA border by land? ( I am at Toronto and Niagara is nearest land border)

2. Do my husband needs to with me while entering USA ?( He is in Florida, I want to do by myself so he can avoid travel if not required)

3. Can I re-enter Canada same day ( I am Canadian permanent resident and would like to finish other tasks before final immigration)

Please share guidance and experiences.

Another question for the group. I just applied for citizenship, my green card expires march of 24. My case says average time until decision for citizenship is 19 months which puts me at march of 24.... I assume there will be some kind of delay as there always is. Do I need to renew my green card just incase citizenship takes loner then 19 months?

I hope I posted in the right forum.

My mother has a 10 year GC, she lives with us and helps take care of our children.

She needs to get Eye surgery but since she doesnt qualify for health insurance here, and has to handle some personal affairs back home, so early next year we are planning for her to be away for about 8 to 9 months.

We were told that the time limit now for a permanent resident to be outside of the US without having to request a visa has now changed from 6 months to a year is it true? I searched online on the USCIS and didn't find any recent update.

All I could find thru Google is that if you spent less 1 year and 1 day outside of the US you can travel back to the US without a travel permit/visa request but of course it will be at the discretion of the immigration officer.

Anybody heard anything about this recent change or have a recent experience about this please?
