This may be a dumb question but I'm feeling a bit paranoid lately, approaching my interview in Montreal. I've never been arrested in the US to clarify but does anyone know how does the US check criminal records in the US? I'm going through consular processing so do they take fingerprints right at the interview and can run checks against FBI databases on the spot? Just trying to calm my overly anxious mind haha. Thanks.

I got an email from the NVC telling me to log into CEAC to check my updated status, when I logged in, my document status changed from submitted to "accepted", but I noticed there were two messages in the inbox and the first message says: "This case does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 from a joint sponsor may be submitted. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p. " But then another message was sent after it saying: "All required applicant documents have been recieved and approved. Documentarily Qualified." I then got an email saying: "The National Visa Center (NVC) received all of the fees, forms, and documents that are required prior to attending an immigrant visa interview at a U.S. Embassy/Consulate General overseas. NVC will work with the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in MONTREAL, CAN to schedule an interview appointment for you. Once we have confirmed an interview date, we will send a notice to you, your petitioner and attorney (if applicable)." So my question is which is it? Does this mean I should upload new joint sponsor documents to CEAC, or should I just bring new documents to my interview, or was this possibly a mistake? If anyone has experienced something similar, any help would be much appreciated!

I just got my interview letter for October 13th. Thinking that it wouldn't be until next year sometime I sent my Canadian passport away for renewal. It's now stuck in the passport backlog. I can't imagine it will be here by then. Can I go without it? Should I reschedule? Has this happened to anyone else? I feel so dumb.

Hello, I hope I am posting this in the correct place (I am new to VJ). I was wondering if during the medical exam the independent medical physician has access to your personal medical record and health information from your provincial GP? When the medical exam happens are they just confirming the diagnosis and treatments that are recorded from your GP or are they creating a separate "chart" for you specific only for the immigration process? And will the IME results show up on your Canadian health record after everything is submitted?

| I751 - Inquiry about address history |

Hi, I've been preparing I-751 and came up with a question about addresses that my spouse and I have resided since becoming a permanent resident. We had lived in Washington state until February this year, and we moved to TX. For the first 2 months in TX, we had stayed in a hotel and Airbnb, until we bought a house and moved in. While we were in the hotel and Airbnb, we had used a P.O Box. On USCIS website, I submitted address changes for the P.O Box and the current address. And about I-751 address history, which address should I write between WA address and the current TX address? Is it ok to write the P.O box between the two addresses? (and maybe write a brief explanation that we were staying in hotel?) OR should I write the hotel and Airbnb addresses only? Thank you
