This may be a waste of effort, but I am curious if there is any faster way to get my spouse-to-be into the US and living with me, as she has been struggling financially. I studied as much as I could the differences between K1 and CR1 (with K3) and was advised by a friend that works in immigration that we should go K1 route. We filed our 129f at the end of July this year and it we got NOA1 that it was received on 1Aug2022 and had begun processing at the California center. The approximate timelines are pretty disheartening. My fiance is a Canadian citizen, if it matters any. I was just curious if we had made a mistake and should have just gotten married over there and filed for the 130. I wasn't sure if there was any way for her to move here while waiting on this processing timeline, had we went the other route. I read that the Biden administration was going to work to get times down to 6 months, I don't know if there has been any change to be hopeful for though. Thanks!

How long does it take for USCIS to send the I-130 petition to NVC and for you to get the email?

Hello - helping a friend in an odd situation. I have a Canadian friend engaged to an American. She is currently in the US on her B2 Visa valid until February. Her 14-year-old daughter is with her. Recently they discussed getting married and processing AOS. They entered lawfully this is a new idea. The mom was checking her I-94 to make sure she hadn't been given a more limited allotment to be in the US and she is fine. The daughter however was given only 6 weeks on her official I-94. There was no conversation at the time of entry with the Customs and Border patrol agent and there is no stamp in her passport. We've reached out to the Port Authority where she entered and they've admitted it appears to be an error. My knowledge tells me two things I'd love feedback and more details. If she leaves before doing an AOS the daughter may be denied future entries as her B2 Visa is now in question. There is a waiver program for an overstay but I cannot find the actual form number. Custody arrangement is not an issue.

I am a US Citizen sponsoring my Canadian PR wife (of Pakistani origin). She has been in Canada for 15 or so years and wanted to know the following regarding the I-130 form. It asks documentation evidence for schools she has attended, would these only be in the last 5 years? Only the Canadian schools shes attended, or also the Pakistan schools shes attended? Also, there are certain events that getting documentation is extremely hard, would an affidavit as the website suggests suffice in this regard? Thanks.
