Hello, Using this platform to see if anyone is or has been in the same boat. My spouse was sponsored for an EB3 VISA. after a year of waiting for an interview, it happened in Montreal this past August 22nd. I wasn t able to provide my medical as my doctor has postponed my appointment because of covid. We attended the interview, my spouse received an approval right away, and I was refused and presented with a 221g refusal letter, due to lack of medical. That is understandable. The medical was submitted to them electronically two days after the interview (Aug 24th). So far no news and they have my passport. As per their page, there was an update made on the file the 16th of Sept (8 business days ago). But nothing yet. I am wondering if I should get concerned? Anyone has been through something similar? thank you, J

I am petitioning for my wife s green card, and we are at the NVC stage. My father is joint sponsor with me. I have a question concerning supporting documents for the AOS. The platform clearly states: You MUST bring all of your original documents (not a photocopy) to your interview at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate. We have a scan of my father's passport bio page. Does this mean my wife would have to bring his original passport to the interview? Or would a regular color printout of this page work? Or a notarized copy? I assume that in this case, a regular printout is OK, but does anybody have any experience with this?

So I'm definitely not like most lol - I filed for the K1 Visa in August of this year. For background, I am the petitioner - Male, I filed for my beneficiary in Canada - female. Now for the odd-ball situation I'm in. My parents never married, they are still together (I believe they filed Domestic Partnership). I have my mother's last name and not my father's. I have been wanting to do a last name change to match that of my father's plus my wife-to-be wishes to have this last name also. Now, for the question you may not have the answer too. I, the male - should I initiate the court proceedings now to get a legal last name change or should I wait until after the K1 is approved, get married and do a name change and my wife would also have to do the same - essentially a not so "bang for a buck" idea haha. Really what I'm trying to figure out, is if I can do a last name change now and send the documents to USCIS as an "update" to my name. - I am in California so I cannot put my father's last name on a marriage certificate because... California doesn't allow it cause I'm not "associated" even though my birth certificate says otherwise but hey! whatever, its the gov't lol. I wish I knew this sooner cause I would've updated it prior to filing...
Is there possibly a way to reach out and find this information out from USCIS? I have tried googling but unfortunately I'm the minority here ... since I'm a guy... tl;dr - male petitioner wants to change last name but already filed K1, can I do court proceedings to change legal last name or should I wait? I don't want the K1 Visa to be null and void for something that I see as submitting as a simple update/supplement.

What is going on with Vermont service center? They are approving October and November 2021 and some 2022 applications and I am a September 2021 applicant with no news. It does not make sense

Can someone tell me if some I-797s don t have an A number anywhere at all on the paper? Not close by beneficiary name, or anywhere at all on there. I have yet to see an A number anywhere on any document
