  1. Well for starters, it won't be USCIS interviewing your girlfriend/wife, but consular officer in her home country. No, they won't ask why someone got married in the US - people marry in the US all the time and return to their home country.
  2. Divorce in Mississippi and make sure you also pull the I-130. Once divorce final, send her the final divorce decree so she can handle Nigeria side of things in case she wants to marry someone else in the future.
  3. Administrative processing is something that involves several agencies from what I have seen reported here. You try to do mandamus, they can come back and say not sufficient time to complete the checks, visa refused. So think hard if and when you want to try that process for administrative processing. And BTW, he received approval of O-1 petition, not visa - visa is a consular process, petition is USCIS process.
  4. That has nothing to do with your entry to the US.
  5. All the questions starting with Have you ever... really do mean have you ever. Looks like you completed ESTA application and was denied and now need to apply for B2 visa. Yes, you do have to pay the tourist visa fee ($160-185 depending on the country) before you can schedule your interview.
  6. Delay submissions to NVC until you're within 5-6 months out from finalizing the 2-yr requirement. They will not issue an immigrant visa until 2-yr HRR has been completed.
  7. Follow visa bulletin for monthly updates: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2024/visa-bulletin-for-may-2024.html
  8. Wait, you're planning to lie about visiting for only 2 weeks then turn around and stay for 5-6 months, lying that you have a job (which you're going to quit before you depart) and you're wondering what? What could possibly go wrong ...
  9. DCF through emergent need to return to the US and take up a position? In which case, you better not have filed online I-130 as that will disqualify you from DCF.
  10. Apostilled where? You ask for apostille from the issuing authority - in this case it would be Utah. https://authentications.utah.gov/process-from-home-page/ And State Department is not the right address: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/records-and-authentications/authenticate-your-document/apostille-requirements.html
  11. ASK for a copy of your medical exam at the interview - they're able to see it and print it for you.
  12. You can most certainly ask about doing DCF. Just make sure you haven't already submitted the online I-130 as they will deny DCF if you have done so.
  13. The question at hand has been answered - aka - your relatives need to go online and look for appointments as listed on the Bogota embassy website. This topic is now closed.
