You need an Immigration AND a Criminal Lawyer fast.

Felonies make you deportable.

Very bad news.

you really need an immigration lawyer. crimes for which the max sentence is less than a year in the state where ctime was commited-immigration don't take any action. I guess, felony is going under federal statutes. You need to contact an immigation lawyer immideatly-he/she can suggest how criminal lawer should handle the case. One of my friends had the same situation (drugs in a car; 5 people in a car-so, the weight of the pot was large). Conditions were removed, but cannot get citizenship for many years now-they give him year after year a new probation year. But the other friend (was a student at that time-same story with drugs in a car and many people in a car), got citizenship. I guess, it depends on the CIS officer and how criminal court would qualify your case.

PS: on USBIS web you can find a mannual for immigration officers. Huge doc. But there are some chapters about how to handle adjudication for people with convictions.

Cocaine! Egads. Best of luck with the remainder of your process, and like they all said... seek counsel, like, yesterday.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.
