Got an RFE that we responded to in Aug 8th

August 13 they said we got your response and case ready to be scheduled for an interview since than has been over 3 weeks and no interview date has any one else been stuck on this stage of ready to be scheduled for an interview but no interview date given.

I-864 (Affidavit of Support) I have a question about my joint sponsor.

So my primary sponsor which is my spouse annual income is 31k: we send employment letter and a 6 paystubs. In 2024 - she didn t work - we send an affidavit with explanations why she didn t In 23 and 22 she made around 35/36k

she add her brother as a household member to increase her current income (was that a good decision?) His current income 48/50k annually we sent his last 6 paystubs His 23 and 22 - only 14k of total income

Our documents were qualified but we received a note asking for another sponsor.

So by this point I will be grateful if you can look at the whole picture

My joint sponsor annual income: 47k - we would upload her w2, 6 paystubs, employment letter In 2024 - she made 37.5k In 23 and 22 she made smaller amounts so we would only put her 24 tax - she s been employed for this company for apox. 1,5 years so the employment letter is going to prove her stable employment.

I know I know! In the best case scenario it would be advisable to put her 3 past tax transcripts but as I previously mentioned she didn t make enough in 23,22 - Xeniainternational said to not put these years if it was not enough.

My question is if they are going to combatin tax of my joint sponsor with main sponsor + household member in 2024 = 51.75 for all 4 of us which adds up to 51k or perhaps they are going to count it separately just me and the joint sponsor = 37.5k for 2

I might have an appointment within 4-5 weeks so I appreciate all help and answers

Hello fellow VJ members! About to begin this process and adventure and wanted to get some clarifications on a few things.

I'm in the US and will petition for a Canadian.

She wants to come visit me for 3-4 months in the US. She already visited for a couple of weekends, and I've been up to Canada about five times too.

What in general do you guys think is better? For her to enter on the visitor visa, THEN apply for the K1? Or apply for the K1 BEFORE she enters on the tourist visa?

I see mixed things on this. It seems if you already have a K1 pending, and then enter on the six-month visitor visa, then the border officer will ask lots of questions.

But if you apply for the K1 after entering on the visitor visa, would that possibly look suspicious to customs?

I just need to know the best thing to do, I want to make it as smooth and easy for her as possible, while also making it possible to see her for 3-4 months.

She is going to try and get a leave of absence for her job, and she currently lives with siblings and helps pay the rent. Two things that would show intent to return home.

Okay and another question regarding length of stay. I hear differing things about how the calendar year works as far as the six months. So I'll give some details to help out.

She visited for a weekend back in January, then a weekend in April, and another weekend in July, so I'd estimate about a week of her six months has been used for this year.

Does the six months "reset" at the beginning of the year, or is it continued to be tracked? For instance, if she stays for 3-4 months on a trip coming up, would that mean she

only has 2-3 months remaining for 2026? I know in other posts it's been said the US has a give and take system. You come here for 3 months, stay in your home country for 3 months.

It's a bit confusing and I'm trying to wrap my mind around it. Any clarity would be greatly appreciated!

One final thing, if she stays for 3-4 months on her visitor visa, does that take anything away from the K1 90 days, or is that completely separate? For instance, she stays for 4 months on the

visitor visa, and then returns home to Canada for 4 months, and won't visit again until the year either "resets" or the give take system is satisfied. Let's just say the K1 is approved in 8-10 months

and is ready for us to use next year. Would her 4 month visit subtract anytime from that K1? 4 months visited, leaving only two left for the K1, or is the K1 90 days completely and totally separate

from the time given for the visitor visa?

I wanted to ask two questions if any one can help

1. I am 99% i know the answer but just for clarification, as i am the beneficiary living abroad (UK citizen) and my husband applied for my i-130, he doesn't need to upload my passport or birth certificate or 2 pictures does he? I understood that the 2 pictures were only if i was living in the US and the beneficiary doesn't have to supply BC or Passport at this stage? i do have both

2. We are 100 days into our application so many months to go yet, we have never lived together and don't share any bank accounts or anything like that but over the past months we have uploaded 2 lots of evidence. Our first online interactions, our first meet in Chicago, our second meet in London to meet my family and the wedding in Vegas, lots of copies of letters and fb messages from families and birthday and valentines day cards and gifts and copies of flight info

My husband is coming fro Xmas so we will do another upload of that trip too and then i go back to Iowa in March for another visit

My second question is, should we bother with uploading WhatsApp convos? it just seems so random to just upload 9-10 screenshots but we text and facetime everyday so might be helpful? My dad offered to write an Affidavit for me to upload, is it worth it? I already uploaded copies of letters to and from my parents and his parents to each other talking about us as a couple

Any advice would be amazing

Wife came in on a k1 visa and now we are working on her AOS. We noticed on her account that USCIS is estimating 23 months till a final decision. We have an appointment for her biometrics coming up soon I was curious if thats why it says so long or is everything that backed up now? The website says 11.5 months for our area.
