Community SpotlightDV Lottery of K1 Visa - Can I file for both?
Petrisaint Mpaka posted a topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures,
I applied for the DV lottery 2025 and hope to be selected this year. My fiancé and I discovered that there is a fiancé visa for the USA. Do you think if we apply for the K1 visa but are selected for the DV lottery that we can stop the fiancé visa process? What are the timelines and options here :)?-

Confused about steps after marriage
SP1988 posted a topic in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas,
My fiancee arrived last month on K1 fiance visa and we got married yesterday. It seems from what I have seen online that I made a mistake by not getting SSN prior to marriage? I am going to the SSN office on Monday to gather more information... also worried about employment authorization and travel authorization(s). Thanks for any insights!-

Tourist visa cancelled by CBP agent. Can we still get a CR1 or K1 Visa?
yotajeeper posted a topic in What Visa Do I Need - Family Based Immigration,
Upon my gf's most recent arrival, her tourist visa was cancelled at the airport due to her frequent visits last year and suspicion of working here. She was denied entry and sent back same day. Is a CR1 or K1 visa process an option still? I would appreciate any advice or tips you can provide!-

2 RepliesI'm helping my brother in law apply to bring his fianc here. It's been 12 years since I used this guide to bring my fianc (now wife)here using a K1 Fianc visa.
I have some questions that I hope someone here can assist me with. Let me apologize up front for not staying up to date in what is needed with this application. Can anyone tell me if the following things are still needed to send in with the I-129F packet?
G-325A Form
G-1145 Form
My memory definitely is slipping, I could have sworn I sent in an I-864 Affidavit of support along with tax documents, and pay stubs at the time I sent in my I-129F form, can someone tell me at what step of this process all of that is needed as well? Is that something that gets sent to your Fianc and they take it to the interview?
Thanks again for any help!

13 RepliesOkay, so here's a unique situation. Hawaii divorce court filed an order that my two minor children (US Citizens) ages 5 and 7 be brought to me by their mother in the Philippines. I will have sole custody of them for 3+ years. This was a court stipulation. I have already found an excellent school for them to attend and suddenly wondered if I need to apply for some kind of student visa or would the school do that? Any help will be GREATLY appreciated. Please help...my kids will be arriving mid-June of this year.

2 RepliesI have flown out of Manila airport two times with ANA Airlines and never paid a travel tax. Is the travel tax included in the ticket price? Will my family have to pay the travel tax when they depart Manila. We are all on the same reservation?

5 RepliesI had my Naturalization interview on May 7 at the uscis in Boston. I have a green card and i got a notice before the interview that they are reusing my biometrics. On the day I attended the interview, the system was down, so they couldn't take my photo or biometrics, and they wrote my civic answers on a paper, and my listening and writing test were on paper.
I was informed that I passed but the case could not be approved because the system was down. The interviewer told me he would need to upload my answers into the system and approve the case there, when the system comes back up. The interviewer told me my oath ceremony notice will be in the mail.
Its May 10 today and when I logged into my account there's no new notice, and the status of the case is still "interview is scheduled" and nothing new
Has anyone encountered this situation?
1. Is there anything I could do rather than waiting?
2. How longer do you think i will have to wait till theres an update
3. Will i have to take photo and biometrics again since they didn't take it when i was there
4. At what point should i try to contact uscis and what is the best channel
Thank you!
