Community SpotlightDV Lottery of K1 Visa - Can I file for both?
Petrisaint Mpaka posted a topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures,
I applied for the DV lottery 2025 and hope to be selected this year. My fiancé and I discovered that there is a fiancé visa for the USA. Do you think if we apply for the K1 visa but are selected for the DV lottery that we can stop the fiancé visa process? What are the timelines and options here :)?-

Confused about steps after marriage
SP1988 posted a topic in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas,
My fiancee arrived last month on K1 fiance visa and we got married yesterday. It seems from what I have seen online that I made a mistake by not getting SSN prior to marriage? I am going to the SSN office on Monday to gather more information... also worried about employment authorization and travel authorization(s). Thanks for any insights!-

Tourist visa cancelled by CBP agent. Can we still get a CR1 or K1 Visa?
yotajeeper posted a topic in What Visa Do I Need - Family Based Immigration,
Upon my gf's most recent arrival, her tourist visa was cancelled at the airport due to her frequent visits last year and suspicion of working here. She was denied entry and sent back same day. Is a CR1 or K1 visa process an option still? I would appreciate any advice or tips you can provide!-

1 RepliesHi everyone! Back again with a quick question lol. When submitting evidence, such as tax documents, are we supposed to include every single page when there are many pages? Same thing with our joint auto insurance policy which is at least 50 pages long, and we have accumulated many of them over the last two years do we need to scan and submit every one of those pages?

1 RepliesHi all,
I have a question concerning changing the document pick up location of visas. We have K1 and K2 interviews scheduled for 6/18. Currently, we have the pickup location in US Travel docs as Ormoc City. I am reading that things move much faster in Manila and would like to know if we can update the pickup location to Manila now without causing any serious hiccups in the process? It makes more sense to stay in Manila and pick everything up there as well as go through CFO there than travel back to Ormoc and then Cebu for CFO. Is it relatively quick and easy to schedule CFO in Manila as well? As always thank you for your input!

11 RepliesHi everyone, hope you all are doing well.
My mom has an immigrant visa (I-130) that expires in August. She still has some work to finish in her home country. Can her visa be extended? If not, can she come to the U.S. before the expiration, activate her LPR status, and then return to her home country to finish her work? What are the rules for re-entering the U.S. in this scenario?
Thank you so much for your help and advice!

6 RepliesHello, i'm wondering if someone can provide me some insight in to this. My wife's has already been DQ'd since 2022, and her interview will be coming up soon. I recently got a new job (literally with in the past month). The income from my last job was already well over the poverty guidelines so I had no issues with I-864 approval, and my new job that I got pays even more, will I need to file a new form I-864? I worked my previous job for 5 years, so all my tax transcripts I have submitted show that previous job. I also filed my taxes for this year before I left my last job so even the latest tax returns/W2 for this year shows that job, and I also have the tax transcript for this year as well with that job being listed on there. Does anyone think this will be an issue if my most current transcripts/W2 show the job that I just left? Should i provide proof of my new Job with a new I-864? I am not unemployed and there was no gap in my employment at all, so thats where the confusion is coming from, I feel like uploading another I-864 is just gonna cause more confusion. But I wanted some advice/input from everyone. Thank you!
