We finally got everything together. I overnighted the package to CSC yesterday. It is due to be delivered this morning by 10:30am. YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!! Now we begin the waiting game to see how long it takes to process.

11/16/2007 = Package arrived at CSC

11/21/2007 = NOA1 (according to www.uscis.gov online case status)

11/26/2007 = Check cashed (YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!)

11/30/2007 = Rec'd NOA1 hard copy in the mail

12/20/2007 = Touched

12/21/2007 = Touched

03/12/2008 = Touched (due to phone call)

03/24/2008 = NOA2!!!!!!!!!

05/05/2008 = Arrived at Consulate

Officially Engaged December 24th, 2007!!!

Moved to the U.S. to be with my baby on July 19th, 2008 on a K1 visa!!!!

I hope you enjoyed Ghana :)

ABSOLUTELY. I wish I was still there, even though it was too hot/humid for me :) I loved the people!!! They were so nice and friendly (and ALL the street vendors/sellers wanted me to buy ALL their stuff). I really hope I get to go back to Ghana soon!!!!

And I loved the food. The shito sauce was awesome. I really like white yam - never had that before. And my absolute favorite was the KELEWELE. I can't wait to start learning to cook it all. Luckily I have a Ghanaian friend who will teach me to do it right. I'm totally craving Kelewele right now. YUM!!!!!!

Thanks for all the support already. I know it will be a slow process, but we've been together for 19 months and the long-distance stresses have actually already strengthened our relationship. We're in it for the long haul and he's definitely worth waiting for!!!!!!!!!!!!!
