Someone on socials had posted the ATC dialogue at the time.  Sounds like the fire unit was supposed to turn at D but turned at E and didn't listen when ATC called to stop.  United had asked for the fire unit after smelling fumes.

Yeah since the DCA crash he’s been my go to as well. Victor from VASAviation has the entire audio. Very distressing as the ATC controller communicates with the already crashed aircraft😞

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Took off from La Guardia recently, never thought of Fire Trucks was more concerned about being on a Max, nice fountain in the Departure Lounge, why is it not connected to the Subway?

Taxi lobby.

 

I always try and avoid the NYC area airports, but took a chance one time, had to fly into La Guardia as there were no open flights to JFK, then take a taxi the 7 or so miles to JFK to get on my international flight to Europe.  Never again, NYC airports can be avoided.

To be fair the free Bus to the Subway was fine and then I got cards for us to go further, never used a Taxi, it was odd tto see the preferred vehicles now used as NY taxis.
