After years of waiting for due clearances, the dream was finally coming true. Just two days ago, his wife, Dr. Komi Vyas, a renowned doctor in Udaipur, resigned from her job. The bags were packed, goodbyes said, the future within reach.
This morning, the family of five, filled with hope and excitement, boarded Air India flight 171 to London. They clicked a selfie. Sent it to relatives. A one-way journey to a new life. But they never made it. The plane crashed. No one survived.
In a matter of moments, a lifetime of dreams turned to ash. A brutal reminder, life is terrifyingly fragile. Everything you build, everything you hope for, everything you love, it all hangs by a thread. So while you can, live, love, and don’t wait for happiness to start tomorrow.

This is extremely a sad tale.  I was on something like six flights within/entering/leaving India last week, and it is very common for these selfies by those on the flight.  I saw so many folks taking selfies while boarding or after taking their seats it was amazing.  I am sure there are other stories out there from this Air India flight.

 

R.I.P. for this family and all the other souls on board this flight that did not survive.

Look at the NTSB study on Northwest Flight 255 out of Detroit from back in 1987.  If this was in fact the case, and as @LIBrty4all stated, the Boeing's do not have proper warnings, what have we learned?

Beware what you read, folks.  There are already a couple of (possible but unlikely) stories going around the nets, written up so that they look like an *official* report.  It's WAY too early for any official reports to be circulating.  They appear to be an AI accumulation/manipulation of past incidents.  One involves the CA seat sliding backwards, and the FO unable to advance the thrust levers due to the CA's weight (LOL).  Another is about water intrusion with disastrous electrical failure (slightly more possible, but it was not raining that day).

Yeah, I like him as well, but in general, he does not go through incidents like some of the other pilot YTubers do.

Possibly intentional which of course means murder.  Based on what I have seen and heard, not something that can be inadvertently switched off, and not something I would expect would be in any checklist during take-off.
