Watch:  Senate Republicans Release Brutal New Ad Mocking MS-13-Loving Dems Visiting El Salvador

The Democrats have been making fools out of themselves as they go to bat for violent criminal gangbangers who the Trump administration has been deporting to El Salvador for a stay in the country's CECOT mega-prison.  Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen has been the poster boy of shameless failure theater, as he was the first to head down to the Central American country to try to "save" alleged MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

He managed to meet with the detainee, but has danced around the allegations that Abrego Garcia beat his wife and was possibly involved in human trafficking.  This after he virtually ignored the brutal rape and murder of a Maryland mother of five, Rachel Morin, at the hands of a different illegal alien gang member.

If it sounds like a parody, it's because it's playing out like one, and Senate Republicans called out their Democrat friends on Monday with a very funny video.  "¡Bienvenidos a El Salvador Senate Dems!" it begins, before encouraging them to make sure they only buy one-way tickets:  [...]

Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan was charged April 25 with two felonies on allegations of trying to help an undocumented immigrant avoid arrest after he appeared in her courtroom.

According to a 13-page complaint, Dugan, 65, is accused of obstructing a U.S. agency and concealing an individual to prevent an arrest. The two charges carry a maximum penalty of six years in prison and a $350,000 fine, but sentences in cases involving nonviolent offenses typically are much shorter.

Specifically, the complaint says Dugan assisted Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, an undocumented Mexican immigrant, avoid being arrested by federal immigration officials at the Milwaukee County Courthouse after he appeared in her courtroom for a pretrial conference on April 18. Flores-Ruiz is facing three misdemeanor battery counts.

This is a great article, with full details of what really happened.

Will Judge Dugan become the next hero of the resistance?

The Trump administration's campaign against sanctuary jurisdictions took a big step forward on Friday when federal agents arrested a county judge in Milwaukee after the judge allegedly helped an illegal immigrant accused of multiple crimes hide from federal immigration officials who had come to detain him.

The judge is Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan.  The illegal immigrant is Eduardo Flores-Ruiz.  According to court documents, Flores-Ruiz, a Mexican, came illegally to the United States more than a dozen years ago.  Immigration authorities issued a final removal order for him in January 2013.  He was deported but at some point reentered the U.S. illegally.  Now, he is still in the U.S. illegally, and he is also charged with domestic violence — three counts known as battery-domestic abuse-infliction of physical pain or injury.

By the way, apart from the current crimes he is accused of, crossing into the U.S. illegally is punishable by up to six months in prison.  Doing it again after being deported is punishable by up to two years behind bars.

Here is what happened on April 18 in the Milwaukee County Courthouse, according to an affidavit from an FBI agent in the case.  Flores-Ruiz was scheduled to have a pretrial hearing in the domestic violence case.  When U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials heard about it, they decided to go there with an arrest warrant for Flores-Ruiz that would surely result in his deportation.  [...]

Democrats Hold Candlelight Vigil In Front Of Illegal Immigrant Mugshots

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressional leaders held a solemn ceremony in the nation's capital today, as Democratic senators arrived at the White House to hold a candlelight vigil in front of migrant gang mug shots.

Legislators gathered on the White House lawn to memorialize apprehended and deported criminals in a touching display of love and admiration for the achievements and cultural enrichment they brought to the crimes they perpetrated in the U.S.

"The country simply won't be the same without them," said Senator Elizabeth Warren while holding a candle next to an MS-13 gang member's mugshot.  [...]

Your 2028 Democratic Presidential Contenders!

[...] Democrats are quickly forgetting that we still live in a populist age and that there is a working-class sized hole in their coalition.  It's much more fun and emotionally satisfying to think and talk about how much you hate Donald Trump and everything he stands for.  There's certainly a lot to be upset about but that does not help you win elections—not just the presidency but all those Senate races in red-leaning working-class states where Democrats have been getting walloped and where, if they don't improve, they will be a Senate minority indefinitely.

With that in mind, let's take a look at possible Democratic presidential contenders for 2028 and how they are approaching this challenge.  I'll sort them into five general categories; I hesitate to call them "lanes" at this early date when differentiation is still so fuzzy.  [...]

This survey result from Quantus Insights, really says it:

The "IDK" category is the highest scorer.  I have trouble taking the whole thing seriously though, when Kamala is still sitting in second of actual leaders.

The midterms are going to be another train smash.
