Are you a USC?

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

We sent my mother's medical with all the other forms. I know some people wait for the RFE and send it after. USCIS likes seeing a recent doctor's signature but I also think that I-693 validity is now extended to two years. I would personally send it and if they ask you to resend then do so when requested. If you receive no RFEs then you will not waste a month or two getting and replying to RFEs.

Medical examination is most certainly mandatory so based on what I wrote above you will have to submit it now or later.

Submit all forms at once.

You need PP pictures

From what I have seen it is normal for Indian Parents of USC's to travel with their documentation.
