Possibility to transfer interview for spousal visa - Pakistan?

Hi all, 

 

I'm new to visa journey and I'm glad to see all the resources here. As for my question, I filed for my i130 for my wife Jan 2023 and it was approved last week (in process to be sent to NVC). My wife is currently in Pakistan and it looks like the Islamabad embassy is quite backlogged for interviews (12+ month). Could we transfer the interview location to Riyadh as she lived about 10 years in Saudi Arabia?

Pretty much limited to country of current residence and country of nationality.  For most they are one and the same.

All you can do is ask Saudi if in your circumstances they would take the case.

Actually, you have to ask NVC.  NVC will require documentation that you are either a citizen or legal resident of Saudi currently.  Without that, there is no opportunity to "ask Saudi".
