I got N-400 data from Houston office. Unbelievable they received a lot of applications while no process during lockdown. Right now pending N-400 is over 60,000. That is why they are taking a long time to process our application. I assume that each month they could process 3000 applications so it took more than 15 months to process 60K.

I don’t know which data you are looking at , is it the July- Sept 30 ?

if yes , then Houston have 40k pending and not 60k and I expect it went down later.

what surprised me is , Dallas receive almost same number of applications but they are to process double the number that Houston process.

Man USCIS sure is darn slow. Called the helpline askinf I'd they knew when biometrics might be scheduled since I filed early may. Got a robotic agent who kept repeating the same "it's the pandemic, we don't know" line in semi passive aggressive way. 10.5 months since filing and not even biometrics appointment yet.

Meanwhile 90% of businesses and employees have been busting our behind working full time with not much deficiency in our work or productivity - pandemic or not. Sure it has slowed things down but not even a single update in almost a year while people in other states have completed their n400 process in half as much time during same year is beyond me.

Sigh.

Yea I moved to another state but both the states have roughly the same processing timelines so not much was changed here. It just seems USCIS is dragging its feet at this point depending on the service center.

We have server load balancing so kids can play their fortnite game without lag or delay but no proper load balancing on case loads between busy and rather not busy service centers in 2021 is considered fine... I wish the government took the matter of delays more seriously.

Well I asked this question because I noticed when people file then move that cause a delay.

so you applied in May and offices were closed so I think you can count starting of mid July then add 2 to 3 months delay because of the move that means you in theory applied in Nov 2020.

For Houston unfortunately it is normal to take that long , but I think you waited enough and hopefully you will get good new soon

Also try to send them an inbox message , hopefully that will move the case.

ua474sp - I had something very similar happen to me last month.  I had an oath ceremony scheduled for Jan 22, received a phone call a few days before the ceremony in which I was told that the appointment was cancelled.  The letter showing the cancellation was not actually sent out by USCIS till January 25.  I am still waiting for a new date.  Very frustrating indeed.  Good luck, Paul

How frustrating indeed. I hope you got it rescheduled by now.

We got a letter a week later that the interview was scheduled for 3/16.

I got notification on March 25 that my oath ceremony had been scheduled for April 14. Even though I requested a name change, it is going to happen at USCIS office on Gears Rd. I'm afraid I may end up with a new name but no court order 🤦‍♂️. Crossing my fingers now.

Congratulations. I also received notification for oath ceremony scheduled for April 14. But after two days checked my account again and it says oath ceremony cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

I'm sorry about that. My appointment is still active. There has been no message about cancellation yet.
