For providing all pages of utility and bank statements to be submitted, since these are available as PDF, has anyone had experience with submitting these documents in a reduced size? if I were to print them out as is, the entire statements would exceed 150 pages.

For example, printing 2 pages per side of a sheet of paper in landscape mode. If double-sided, one sheet of paper effectively contains 4 pages of a statement.

Any insights or experiences with this would be greatly appreciated!

RoC Timeline:

  1. 12/01/2023 - Application sent to Tempe, AZ lockbox
  2. 12/06/2023 - Application received by USCIS
  3. 12/12/2023 - Check cashed by USCIS
  4. 12/22/2023 - I-797C notice recieved giving access to 48 months extension letter online.

What's the problem with printing 150 pages? You don't need them to be in color. Single sided, b&w costs $34.50 at Fedex near me for 150 pages. That's cheaper than my grocery run or few drinks at a bar. Not even a dinner for 2. Just print them all and earn that $34.50 back in few hours of work. Do not go with this plan of landscape / doublesided printing. USCIS will have difficulty scanning it into the system and this may hurt your case and certainly processing time. Don't jeopardize your $595 filing fee, few years of your life and immigration status over $30-40 in savings.

Fwiw I didn't send every single bank statement for every month, I provided every 3 months which showed many transactions from both our cards to the account and deposits into the account from our employment.

I made a note on my cover page index that I could provide the rest of the statements if requested but didn't want to overwhelm them with paper if it was unnecessary.

Added to that all the other evidence such as tax statements and joint bills etc, I don't think it's necessary to send them every single page of your checking history.

We sent it all. Never in the 4 years of our immigration did I have a request for more and only 2 interviews. AOS and Citizen. My wife was a 24 year over stay. For AOS we had a stokes interview ( or were supposed to) Officer looked at our package, asked a few questions of me and one to my wife. Approval by the end of the day, New card being produced. I751 was a 7 month wait.... new card being produced. My point is send it all, leave no questions. The officers love a well prepaired package. Its the mail clerks who have to work harder. Started 4/18  done 5/22

Is your case still pending or is it approved?

I hope you realize RFE can add 2-6 months to processing time?

If you are sending hard-copy, just print the pages and send them in.  If you are trying to condense a file that you are going to upload electronically, then break the document into several smaller files.  Our paper file was 4 inches thick.

I’m sorry that is ridiculous, I provided a list of all my deposits that I created from data from the bank. 150 pages is completely over the top and unnecessary. Just don’t be silly.

It's silly not to provide all the evidence available, when I-751 instructions say:

"Submit copies of as many documents as you can to establish this fact, to demonstrate the circumstances of the relationship from the date of the marriage to the present date;"

Also here's an interesting read:

Even so, anyone should recognize 150 pages is overkill.

No, it's not an overkill. There's no such thing as overkill when it comes to building a strong case. If it was, USCIS would have set a limit on the amount of evidence accepted. It's immigrant's burden to prove their eligibility for an immigration benefit.

Still pending, we'll see if it leads to an RFE, I'm betting it won't.

I wouldn't necessarily say it's silly to include all pages or only enough to satisfy the evidence as requested, it's open to interpretation. I feel 3 monthly accounts were sufficient, if they RFE me for more they can have that too. I just don't think that's likely with the other evidence I have provided.
