I am still mulling over this, pretty clear the Hamas apologist had no warning, not exactly the first time that something was known to be on the horizon but ignored for whatever reason.

This is not going to go well for the people in Gaza, in particular. Hamas has ensured there will be a painful body count.

 

If Hezbollah gets involved, I can see the body count skyrocketing. There would no longer be “quiet” attacks by Israel on Iranian-manned supply area in Lebanon and Syria, that get no mention in the media. Those strikes would be out in the open and it would be clear to the world that Iran has been backing these terror organizations for a while.

 

More than that, it would put Russian forces in Syria in a bind. They wouldn’t dare mix it with IDF air assets, because the Israel’s will chew them up and spit them out.

You don’t go house to house, murdering women and children and expect the Israelis to hold back when they retaliate.

 

One can only hope that the residents of Gaza are weary of being used as human shields and that the Israeli payback ends Hamas once and for all.

Yes, I can see Gaza being wiped.  The question is what will be the reaction of the rest of the Middle East, particularly those unfriendly to Iran.

I think a good marker of how the rest of the Middle East reacts will be what happens with the Israeli-Saudi peace talks. If they continue, or even conclude faster than predicted, I think Hamas and Iran will be in big trouble.
