Jezzz.thanks for the reply about how one is notified about Biometrics. Oddly enough, I had the letter in my mailbox when I got home!

So biometrics scheduled for 9/5!

zgt3344 you said it perfectly! I agree with you. We too would have filed at the same time whether or not there were fee increases, it was just our bad luck that the fee increases fell right after I arrived in the US. At this point, I would almost rather pay the increased fee if it would help them process all the cases they've received at the normal slow rate, but of course, that isn't going to happen! Hang in there everyone, we'll get this crazy Visa Journey over with.... we just have to be patient. *sigh*

sigh..i was hoping i would get my biometrics appointment letter today...still waiting :(

The San Jose ASC is very slow. You have a lot longer to wait. I'd say at the earliest, another 2-3 weeks. I'd be shocked if you receive a biometric notice before two weeks.

Oh no :( I am in Sunnyvale, CA...so i had presumed I would fall under San Jose? Could I be wrong???

JEZZ85, It is truly frustrating how this is working for us all :crying: . I really had no idea how slow this Chicago center would be now, after last fall when I called them in St Louis field office, they totally reassured me that this new system of filing AOS in Chicago then infopass appointment would be so much better unlike when you would just walk in off the street and sit around and show up one day at local field office and wait your turn to get AOS interview, if that were the case we would have already walked in and sat and waited and took our chances back in late July even if it took all day. :whistle: As of today no NOA1 in mail, or biometrics, and no check cleared yet. That amazes me that they are so starved for fee income or revenue(thus they raise the rates July 30) so they claim that AND now they cannot even receive and deposit all of our fee checks that are obviously sitting inside all of each applicant's mail packets for AOS, no doubt laying around stacked up to the ceiling in some mailroom or mail bin basket waiting for data entry operators to get to them, or better yet they have set all of us aside that filed in July before cut off deadline and are instead working on the new fee applicants since they are paying triple now what we are, I am venting but with this department of government nothing suprises me anymore! :unsure: Good luck to you folks, hope we all start getting biometric letters this week or weekend at least!

Hi Tajoumaru, unfortunately the USCIS has slowed down A LOT. I don't think that anyone will really be able to tell you when the check will be cashed. Many people have checks still not cashed and theirs were received around the same time as yours. Since you have confirmation that they received it, we know that they have the check, so don't start worrying yet, I'm sure we'll hear that checks are being cashed soon. :)

Yes, Sunnyvale falls under the San Jose ASC. Just be patient. They'll get to you eventually.

Thanks TomYu! No, I haven't heard of them cashing one check and not the other, but that's not to say it doesn't happen. We sent in a bank check so we can't verify whether ours has been cashed or not ourselves.

Hi Tajoumaru, unfortunately the USCIS has slowed down A LOT. I don't think that anyone will really be able to tell you when the check will be cashed. Many people have checks still not cashed and theirs were received around the same time as yours. Since you have confirmation that they received it, we know that they have the check, so don't start worrying yet, I'm sure we'll hear that checks are being cashed soon. :)

And I assume the slowdown must be due to the recent surge in volume, courtesy of applicants avoiding the egregious fee hikes. :blink:

And please, could we be added to the spreadsheet? I updated the spreadsheet in an earlier post but it didn't stay.
