Thrilling Monday report, see man:

Awoke unwillingly after only Many (2+2) hours of zzz and well before sunrise, not for Walmarting man.

Was still down about Mini-B.'s reaction, sigh man.

Eventually got up after encouragement from hungry miu, arise we man.

Two caffeinations didn't help, so back for a siesta just after sunrise, early zzz man.

This siesta worked a little better despite yet more napmares, nearly-functional we man.

Breakfast/lunch (at half-past noon) was 2 "egg bites," ingest we man.

Eventually got going, drag we man.

Took box of medical books from POTS* headquarters to Half-Price Books, sell we man.

     *buy yours today, si man!

They took Many (2+2+2) of Many (2x2x2x2 -2), fair enough man.

We made a whopping $Many.01, $ucce$$ful bu$ine$$ typhoon in the face of rip-off artists we man.

At least they took most of the heaviest ones, little crumb of happiness man.

Went to Costco for Many (2+2+1) items, list we man.

Returned with half a Manyzen items, commendably restrained we man.

Went out again almost right away to retrieve large 'roni 'za on Monday special, retrieve we man.

Consumed all but one slice for din-din, ingest we man.

Siesta #2 thereafter, yet another napmare man.

Curbsided garbage & recycling, the heaviest such toucans ever man.

We did nothing substantial, if at all, in regard to casa-cleaning, perhaps depressed we man.

Must chauffeur Uncle T-B. to doctor on Tuesday, chauffeur we man senior he man man.

Made lunch date with FAJC (Far-Away Junior Chica) for Wednesday, last-ever such from website man.

Making plans to exit website altogether, membership expires Tuesday anyway man.

No party with the rubias tonight, no cavort we man.

Exhausted today.

Last night was Kid1's graduation.  630 (sorry, @TBoneTX, I can't p math that one 🤣) or so kids in the graduating class.  We were exhausted by the rudeness of some of the parents/families there.  If your kids are too young to sit still for the time it takes, hire a babysitter. Seriously - we had a family sitting beside us and they got up 5 separate times to go do whatever and get whatever food and drinks, which required us to stand to let them pass.  On the 6th, they left for good.  But it was right after their graduate's name was called and they didn't wait until the end, despite there being more graduates being applauded.  Meanwhile, in front of them were the two most well behaved kiddos who were polite and quiet and cheered when their graduate walked across the stage.  I get it - it takes a long time, but come on!  Show some respect.  Kid1 graduated cum laude so was WAY early on, but we still stayed until the end because everyone should have their moment to cross the stage, diploma in hand.  The poor behavior made it feel more like a sporting event than a graduation.

Got home and the refrigerator was acting up.  It's taken to icing these days.  I miss the days of refrigerators lasting 40 years.  This one is 11 years old and is just annoying the ####### out of us. We had to pull all of the food out, unscrew the back, inside panel, use the hair dryer to melt the ice, dry it, close it up, reload the food.  NOT my idea of fun after such a long day.

Kid2 has today as a final full day of school and then half days with finals for the rest of the week.  So close to the end of the school year...

Very much looking forward to this upcoming long weekend.

Friday was fun times, when I got a call from a family member to say their apartment complex had been hit by a tornado. They were terrified, but okay. Car got smashed up though. Others were not so lucky... some of the building now has no roof and objects were projectiled through the brick walls. One person's house has no upper floors anymore. I went outside to look and the sky was the eeriest shade of green you ever did see. Nope... nope do not like that! So i grabbed everything of remote important value and got the rest of the family down in the basement. We had a tornado a while back that had completely defoliated and scarred a good stretch of the forest here, so I was taking this seriously, even when the elderly grumble about having to go downstairs. Thankfully things happen to storms when they need to cross the water, so though it was pretty wild, no damage here. Tornados were not something we used to have to worry about.. not any more.

I've been running on little sleep for a few weeks now. A while back I made the decision to have the dog sleep in bed with us at night. With his advanced age, his anxiety has increased severely and the vet was thinking it was doggy dementia ... now that he's nearly completely blind, we've had to also put on a night light or some soothing sounds. All was good for a while. We were all getting sleep. He was happier, rested, and perkier. But lately instead of sleeping he will wake every morning at 3am, confused and distressed. He'll moan as if his joints are bothering him, he'll wander the bed checking on us, and if we don't wake up straight away he will cry. We've tried the anxiety meds... that does not make him " mellow" in any way. We next tried a pain reliever that does seem to help his joints, and for a few nights he was sleeping just fine again. Until last night... at 3am.. ugh.

might be an airflow problem.  is there enough space on the sides and the back?  also, check the coils (on my fridge, they at the very bottom of the front side - a cover pops off to allow access for cleaning).   i have a cat and i vacuum the fridge coils about once a year as the cat hair seems to migrate to the coils fairly easy.

Thrilling Tuesday report, see man:

Took Uncle T-B. to doctor, depressed and partially senile senior he man.

Will have to take him back to the Wound Care center, completely incapable of compliance senior he man.

Lunch was from Subway*, ingest we man.

*WUOC + gift card, financially savvy we man

The Subway store was out of steak, several customers turned on their heels and left man.

Their toaster was hosed, no melted cheese for we man man.

At least the first of these has no excuse, :ranting: man.

Mini-B. has agreed to stay with us from Wednesday through Tuesday, whee and glee man!

Ex-Mrs.-T-B. and the Rojo will be in Cancun, vacate ex-she man with Rojo man.

Mini-B. will spend noon Sat. through noon Sun. at the Rojo's casa, pool party man.

Cousin and Cousinette Mini-B. will supervise during that time, in good hands wee man man.

We have spent the evening readying the guest bathroom for Mini-B.'s takeover, fairly satisfied we man.

We have had more difficulty with the guest-bedroom closet, random storage site man.

Miu took great interest in the latter process, participatory miu man.

We have filled a recycle bucket, a donation bag, and half a garbage bag, still not totally cleared man.

We found 2 more hair-dryers, now we have our pick of at least half a Manyzen man.  :bonk:

We found some old family memorabilia from when we were in graidskool, no time to study it man.

Mini-B. takes after ex-Mrs.-T-B. in not giving a poop about tradition or history, very much unlike us man.  :(

We took our profile off the chica website, interesting (!!?) half-year experience man.

We are not intensely interested in meeting anybody any longer, can't articulate exactly why man.

This will make Mama T-B. go aysheep, Find a Wife So I Can Die senior she man.

We will lunchdate on Wednesday with the FAJC, Far-Away Junior Chica man.

She sounds serious and intelligent, so there's that man.

She has also been quite persistent in wanting to meet us, so there's that man.

If it's a nonnegative experience, at least there will be that man.

She has agreed to lunch at Popeye's WUOC, score of Many,000 points for that man!

Back to clean-closeting, dreary drudgery man.

No party with the rubias tonight, no cavort we man.

And that was/is our thrilling Tuesday, report we man.

might be an airflow problem.  is there enough space on the sides and the back?  also, check the coils (on my fridge, they at the very bottom of the front side - a cover pops off to allow access for cleaning).   i have a cat and i vacuum the fridge coils about once a year as the cat hair seems to migrate to the coils fairly easy.

Nah, it's a piece of #######. I vacuum the coils on a regular basis (3 cats, a dog and 2 kids...they are all gross) and from reading on the forums, it's a known issue that will just continue to worsen over time.  We're looking at replacing it with a dual compressor unit.  The plan is to renovate the kitchen in the next couple of years, which means we'll move the location of the refrigerator as well.  We would have purchased a counter depth unit then, so it may just come sooner than later.  Depends what we find because I'm not paying 5 figures for a fridge!  And, well, we can potentially get a Memorial Day "sale".  The only annoyance is I have yet to find a fridge that does filtered water ONLY.  I would rather buy a countertop ice maker because that's the first thing that always goes on the refrigerators.  I'd do an under counter filter for water, but that will come when we renovate, not now.  Sigh.

i've seen so many problems with ice makers i'd say it is worth buying one without an ice maker, just use the trays to make ice.  of course, i don't use ice anyways due to living in europe where ice costs extra and having been in a combat zone where even a warm coke was better than no coke.
my current fridge is a whirlpool i bought about 23 years ago, and it works just fine.  what is the brand of your current fridge?

as for filtered water, i use a separate water pitcher - culligan zero water - that removes a lot of the total dissolved solids from
water.

Sounds like you need to have your own massive GS.

We definitely thought about this, si man.

We'd even bought several Many-foot-long tables (on sale at Costco) awhile back, si man.

However, the effort for the payback just isn't/wasn't there, sigh man.

We remember our one GS from Many (2x2x2 +2+1) years ago, remember we man.

We swore afterward that we would never run one again, swear we man.
