Been sick the last few days. I feel worse today. Hopefully it won't be long lasting, head neck and face all hurt, not to mentioned I'm freezing cold too. Took HSM and a 3 hour nap. Must be sick if I can actually sleep.

Well, they didn't make it to Dec 9.  

 

After a few prenatal health episodes, the girls were born 2:29am and 2:30am on Sunday the 26th.  All are doing well.  

 

Both of my kids have two girls, and my wife's daughter has two boys.  They all say they are done procreating.

Did not leave the casa except to skool/de-skool Mini-B., no man.

Lunch was onecan of Aldi chili, ingest we man.

A nice siesta was taken, zzz we man.

Din-din was weenies & beans, ingest Two Guys man.

Thoroughly brushed demanding miu, brush-miuing we man.

Rousing game of feather-rollers completed with miu, play-miuing we man.

 

Mini-B. has MRI on Tuesday, glow-in-the-dark* wee man.

     *not this one, no man

Ex-Mrs.-T-B. attending, of course man.

Mama-ex-Mrs.-T-B. will come along with us, nothing else to do for ex-senior ex-she man.

Will probably give Mini-B. choice of din-din place, hopefully WUOC man.

 

Party with the rubias imminent, cavort we man.

Thrilling Tuesday report, see man:

 

The MRI experience took Many (2+2+1) -- si man, Many (2+2+1) -- hours, drudgery man.

Poor Mini-B. short of juicy veins, wee man poked several times man.  

However, he handled the entire experience with uncomplaining aplomb, proud we man of wee man man.

 

In short, excellent results, relief man.

Pending final medical caucus, Mini-B. may be cleared for competitive sports, whew man.

 

Lunch was a highly overpriced packaged sandwich from hospital food court, ingest we man.

 

At least the clinic comped our parking, classy of them man.

 

We gave Mini-B. the choice of where to go for din-din, deservedly man.

He initially named Arby's, but our coupons expired 2 days ago man.  

We decided on Raising Cane's, Mini-B. & ex-Mrs.-T-B. like it far better than we do man.

The price for Many (2+1) people was $Many ($2x2x2x2x2 -2) -- si man, $Many ($2x2x2x2x2 -2) -- outrageous, obscene, and intolerable man.

This was not acceptable even though all Many of us were starving, ridiculous man.

Then, we hit after-work traffic all the way to the casa,  man.

 

Mini-B. played V.R. on his Oculus for most of the eve, deservedly man.

We collected the weekly rainwater newspapers, sure to have updated coupons man.

However, the only coupons were for Jack In The Box, disgusting and not even really deals man.

We are off-urinated,  and  man.

 

Mini-B. off to bed, exhausted wee man.

We got no siesta, inadequate dozing in hospital chair man.

Ex-Mrs.-T-B. fell asleep on ride back, typical of ex-she-man man.

Hospitals are exhausting, conclude we man.

 

No party with the rubias tonight, no cavort we man man.

Can't say much about new job; working for a defense contractor, classified, man.

Would not accept a job that requires a security clearance without having an active one and while unemployed again; too long between offer and start of work so got very stressed out (and in the last month or so before I started, was sufficiently frustrated with nothing happening to start seriously interviewing elsewhere).

Had many interviews, even many second interviews, only one actual job offer. Though a few got close right around when I got the initial offer and I declined to interview further, and a few around when it became clear I'd actually be starting with these guys.

Parents, little sister and her family all back home now. Parents left casa-DA at about 5 am on Tuesday, early morning flight.

 

Was great to see everyone.

Thanksgiving dinner was successful despite green bean casserole falling out of the fridge and crashing into pieces.

Veggie pot pie for non-meat eaters looked good, but I didn't try it; too much else and after one day of leftover-eating on Friday (combining Thanksgiving leftovers with Greek takeout leftovers from Wednesday) it was all gone.

My turkey (pre-seasoned frozen turkey breast in a bag whose cooking steps were basically "put it in the oven"), non-gloop sugar-free cranberry sauce, and sugar-free pumpkin cheesecake were well-received, si man.

Mama-Dave made the same rolls she'd made for almost every Thanksgiving that I can remember. Mini-Dave ate many (2 * 2) of them.

 

Niece and nephew decided they weren't interested in going to the Safari Park, then were sick the next day, so saw them (and sister and brother-in-law) less than we'd hoped. Though we did go down to La Jolla Cove and saw the sea lions on Thanksgiving morning (mama-Dave finished rolls and rested), then had lunch at a place that was only serving breakfast food. Parking where I did was $many.

 

Took mom and dad to Legoland with us instead of taking whole crew to Safari park (all non-Sandy Eggo people would have had free or half price tickets at the Zoo or Safari Park via our memberships), had fun and then had pizza and pasta buffet lunch (thanks to membership discounts and 3 year olds still being free at the buffet, surprisingly inexpensive for amusement park food; spent less than we did at Panera the next day). Papa-Dave accompanied us to Safari Park and Sea World, where we had free guest tickets, but mama-Dave wasn't up to walking that much. Then they had Monday on their own, dinner back at our place (made a sous vide tri-tip roast), and packing up to leave early. Papa-Dave was also able to help us fix a few things around the townhouse; more handy than us, si, man.

Let dog out last night. It was very cold but he was bundled up. Nevertheless the old guy was in a rush to get back inside and wasn't paying attention. I hear screaming and yelping, and I'm like what on earth? Oh my gosh, so much blood everywhere. He'd somehow managed to get his toe wedged into the deck and proceeded to rip his nail straight off. There's nothing left.

 

Many panicked moments of trying to get the kwik-stop to slow the bleeding and wrapping it in a bandage. By this point the dog has just shut down and isn't making any more noise - like he's in shock or something. I'm really not sure what to do, so we head over to the emergency vet. After an hour a tech looks at the foot and seems in awe then tells us it will be many many hours to be seen properly. We wait three, and ask any closer? Nope. By this time the dog is exhausted and we're exhausted so we decide to rewrap the foot as best we can until I can ring our vet in the morning. And by the time we get back home it's 2am.

 

Our vet says we did a great job and that's about all we can do for it. Sent us on our way with antibiotics and pain pills. Poor little guy still seems mortified.
