Name change during i485 process

My wife came to the US on K1 visa. She already applied for and received a social security card with my last name. She also submitted the i485, i761, and i131 using my last name. These applications are still pending. Is it possible to correct them so that she uses her original last name instead?

I agree, what is the reason for the change?  Is she trying to match a foreign passport?

We want her to keep connection with her country of birth.

I changed my name to my husband name , and i keep my conetion with my familly and home country. My passport was in my family name and i didnt have any problem flying with my green card in my married name and my passport with my family name.

last name doesn’t have anything to do with connections to home country

You can certainly bring errata sheet and request last name to be kept at AOS interview. I wouldn't recommend changing things midway though.

I agree with @OldUser, if she wants to change back, bring updated forms to the interview and explain it to the IO.

Don't change things midway, the system is already jacked up as it is... And next time you make a radical change like that, think it through before!

That’s odd why she wants to change back to her maiden name. Reads like she will be gone soon.
