Embassy says no CR1 backlog, NVC still hasn't sent Interview Letter

We have been DQed and are waiting for the interview letter. For the CR1, what are the waiting times like for the Colombo US Embassy? When do you think they will give the interview?

Documentarily Qualified. It is when NVC accepts all the documents submitted and starts the next step of scheduling the interview with the Embassy.

We got DQed on 12/28/2022. I called the Colombo US embassy and they said they have no CR1 backlog. They said NVC usually transfers the cases to them based on the date they were DQed and we will receive the Interview Letter before they even receive the case files. They said to email the NVC for any additional questions.

 

Based on this, it looks like NVC still hasn't transferred the case files. Should I email the NVC or wait? Next week, it will be about 1 month since we were DQed.

 

If I'm emailing the NVC, is there any specific format? Should I use their email address (NVCinquiry@state.gov) or the public inquire form?

It is likely that NVC hasn't received available dates from the consulate.

1. Case is DQ'd by NVC.

2. Case then enters NVC queue for your consulate and waits at NVC.

3. Consulate informs NVC of available interview date for upcoming month.

4. NVC schedules interview when case reaches the front of the queue for that consulate.

5. NVC notifies person of interview date via email.

6. NVC then sends case to consulate.

After the interview is scheduled, it can take several days to several weeks for the consulate to receive the case.

I would recommend you to be patient and wait. 3 weeks since DQ is practically nothing

Most government agencies don't appreciate backseat drivers.

 

Be patient and let them go about their normal tasks.  Typically it takes 1-2 months for the interview to be scheduled for embassies that have no backlogs.

please does anyone here knows very well if the Côte d’Ivoire/Ivory Coast embassy is very fast on CR1 IINTERVIEW and which month are they attending to right now
