I-751 Petition to Remove Conditional Residence Signatures

Hello, we are completing the I-751 petition to remove conditional residence status and noticed on page 7 and 8 things get a little confusing for Petitioners that are also the spouse.  Section 7 is the petitioner's statement - I am petitioning for my immigrant wife, thus I signed in this section.  Section 8 says "spouse or individual listed in part 4" which is also me as I am the spouse of the immigrant, is it then safe to assume that I am signing this document twice?  Does the immigrant sign this form at any point?  I do not read anything on here that signifies that the conditional resident immigrant signs this form.

One bonus question, when I print I do not get a barcode at the bottom of the page.  Is this necessary?

Thank you everyone!

@Trex_and_RS yes she's petitioning for herself this time. It is a bit confusing, but think of it this way. There are multiple scenarios for this form: joint petition, and petition with a waiver (spouse deceased, couple divorced, WAVA). So it's up to immigrant to fill out the form from their perspective to remove conditions. Your signature should only come into play in part 8. Prior to that petitioner writes about themselves and their bio info, including spouse info (your details).

Hope this helps

i751 the green card holder is the petitioner, the US based spouse is only the spouse in a joint i751 application.

Note you petition for your spouse on the i130 or i129f visa applications only, all the rest your immigrant spouse petition for i485, i751, n400, green card, work permit and advance parole applications.

@OldUser Reading back through it for the 50th time that makes sense.  I petitioned for her residency before, now she is petitioning for the removal of the conditional residency, correct?  I still saw myself as the petitioning party.

You are merely an interested 3rd party
