Is this the same question from your post on Sunday?

It would help if you completed your timeline.  Also, do you have any other citizenship, or have lived in MENA countries?

Verbal approval is just an indication that the CO was satisfied with the interview.  It does not mean actual approval.  The embassy/consulate will need to run background checks, and if everything comes back clean they will issue the visa.  Background checks can take a while if they need to investigate travel history or records in other countries.

  • 1 month later...

Hello so I had an interview at the London embassy back in September, I was advised I was approved and they kept my passport. When I followed up with the embassy they told me I was in administrative processing even though ceac never changed from ready. I noticed yesterday my ceac updated twice, on e in the morning a date change, and then once in the afternoon to reflect administrative processing. Is this a good sign, or a reflection of an even longer wait?

Honestly, it's a crapshoot.  It could be good, it could be bad.

Why were you put in AP?  Simply background checks or were you missing documents or was there something else?
