Change of address with pending I-751 since June 2021. When to submit AR-11?

Hi, 

I filed for ROC in June 2021, completed biometrics in July 2021, and I’ve been waiting ever since. My case is in Potomac and the status was never updated from “Case Was Received”.

 

In 2 days my husband and I will be moving from Florida to Illinois. We have just filed the USPS Change of Address form, and we were wondering if we should go ahead and update our new address with USCIS as well. 
 

On the USCIS website, it is recommended to file for the address change within 10 days of moving. 
Would there be any issues if we filed a couple of days before our actual move? 
 

We’ve been reading about bad experiences with the update to a new address here on VJ and Reddit. 
 

Could anyone share their experience?

@JMK_IT Why don't you update the address with USCIS within 10 days of moving? It can be easily done online. I don't have experience changing it, but I would think it's better to do it as it instructs, after the fact you moved.

It isn't just recommended. It's required by law.

I don’t understand why you’d want to do it before? Just do it as you unpack your boxes.

Was your husband your sponsor for AOS?

My wife has a pending I-751 and we have moved several times since June as we were transients shopping for a new home. 
 

She  filed online within 10 days of completing each move.  
 

As the signer of her I-864 from her I-485 I in turn file I-865 within 30 days of each move. Alas this cannot be done online.  Despite carefully identifying my wife as the beneficiary in my I-865, USCIS’s formal reply indicates me, a naturalized U.S. Citizen, as the beneficiary compete with my alien number.  Oh well.  I tried. Twice.  
 

Knowing that we would be moving, we established a stable mailing address before filing I-751. Each AR-11 and I-865 kept the same mailing address and changed the physical address.
