is Shaadi.com an IMB (International Marriage Broker)?

I got an RFE because I missed a question asking about if I had a criminal history, since I'm sending it in I wanted to use this opportunity to also send in a letter from shaadi.com (matrimony website) that explains that website is not a IMB because I noticed a thread where someone got an RFE due to them meeting on a matrimony/dating site. They had to get a letter from the site explaining they are not a IMB  (International Marriage Broker).

On our application we put "No" to did you meet on a IMB, because it is not, but in the letter explaining how we met I did say we met on shaadi.com and I had a premium membership. The RFE did not mention anything about it so I am wondering if I should address it as well.

I ask this because I found out it is common for them to send out more RFE's after receiving  the previous RFE, so I wanted to kill two birds with on stone.

Shaadi is not an IMB.

I know that but do I still need to send USCIS documents explaining that like in the post below?

When I called USCIS about this they said only send in what the RFE is requesting, but I want to send in the shaadi.com document in case they send me a another RFE about it later

Until you get an RFE from USCIS or the consulate there is nothing you need to do.

Your mistake was in saying you “met” online:

1. In the world of US immigration, meetings do not happen.

2. You don’t have to explain how you met in person.  You just have to state  the date and place where you met in person in the last 2 years before I-129F and provide evidence that meeting happened.

That’s water under the bridge now.

The embassy might ask your fiancé(e) if you discovered each other online.   Your fiancé(e) should bring evidence that Shaadi is not an IMB.  I doubt the CO will ask for it.

I’m going to predict that enough officers in the consular and USCIS corps have heard of Shaadi by  now that  this won’t come up.  Over ten years ago stating that the couple  met on Tinder produced RFEs. I’ve not seen  a post about an RFE in the 5 years I’ve been lurking / contributing to VJ.
