Unlikely the issue is with the Consulate but what would be the basis of an expedite, not an obvious fit with an EB2.

Thanks for your response, the basis of an expedite is if there is new member added to family we will have to get new I-140 approved from USCIS, new visa processing for new baby etc......

Unfortunately that is not a valid basis for expedite in most immigration officer's eyes.  For better or for worse, the process just takes time.  Pregnancy is not a grounds for expediting even for spousal cases.

Obligatory disclaimer:  Not a lawyer.  Posts are written based on my own research and based on whatever information is provided.  Consult an immigration attorney regarding your specific case.

Your employer’s attorney can request expedite IF the employer is facing significant financial hardship directly related to the fact that your particular position is not filled…BUT even such a valid expedite reason will NOT speed up the extended security vetting for Pakistan.

Do reach out to the Attorney on your case and they will help you understand how newborn child will easily get added to the case, no new I-140 required at all.
