Hello, I submitted form I-130 for my wife.

-June 15th 2022: Submitted

NOA: Came that same day.

-June 17th 2022: Actively review by USCIS.

After “actively review” how long it might take to get it approve? My wife lives in El Salvador.
My form was sent to Nebraska, got my NOA from Nebraska Service center. But the Online account letter came from Texas Service center.

Hello, I thought I recalled seeing a June 2022 filers thread somewhere but am no longer able to locate it. If someone could link it here, that would be great.

Hmm ok then, I guess so! Are you also filing for K3?

We submitted ours today, and received NOA1 today. Nebraska as service center. Preparing to file for K3 next.

Nebraska is the fastest SC, but am fearful it will be transferred -- it seems like transferring SCs is very common from what I've seen.

Good to know. Can't it also help? We aren't withdrawing anything. We just heard that filing for K3 after first filing for I130 can be possibly helpful, but no guarantee.

I’m not sure it helps. I just posted it in case down the road you wanted to withdraw a case. It can mess up.

Tbh I doubt it helps and if it does, I’m sure it doesn’t cut the time much

I'm not filing K3 as I've heard conflicting reports of what it does and doesn't accomplish.  Fingers crossed for keeping our cases at NSC or if it gets transferred, they go to Texas.

Have you been able to check with Emma to see if your service center has changed? Been trying a bit today and have not been able to get through to anyone to see.

K3 and K1 uses the same I-129F form.  First I filed K1 and then I filed K3 after filing I130.  So now I am withdrawing K1,  when I did send two withdrawl letters of samething (K1) to two addresses caused K1 withdrawl first which is correct and then they withdraw the K3 too.  Which is not correct.  It is their fault.. but what can I do.  In your case, it should be OK,  go ahead and file K3, it does not cost anything.  I see in some cases it helps to speed up I130 approval.  It is not guarantee to help it did for some case.  but it does not hurt.  Good luck

It depends. Typically, when the "actively reviewing" occurs very shortly after submission, it's an error, and you can expect the same general timeline of the service center you're at. About 10 months for Texas at this time.

My husband applied on my behalf 20th June whilst I wait it out in UK. We're just doing the I-130 route, I've seen a lot of people posting about K3 and whether they speed things up, however we've decided to not try.

Fingers crossed all our applications will only take 6 months to process. It's only been 11 days and I already feel the mental toll of this journey. I can't wait to have the visa in my hands. My timeline is estimating my I-130 will be approved in April 2023 but I'm hoping it will be sooner.

Our Service centre is Nebraska at the moment.

Could we get a mod to change the title to reflect this as the June I-130 filers thread?  Appreciate it
