Armed suspect accused of violent threats against Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh identified

 

An armed man was arrested near the Maryland home of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh Wednesday morning, law enforcement sources confirmed to Fox News.

 

The suspect, 26-year-old Nicholas John Roske of Simi Valley, California, was carrying a gun, knife and pepper spray when arrested and had made violent threats against Kavanaugh, sources said.

 

Roske was picked up on a nearby street after calling police on 911 to report himself. He did not get to the Kavanaugh home.

I would have thought a supreme court justice lived in a little bit more upscale house.

Justices get a little over$260k a year which of course isn’t bad, but I believe Fauci makes more.

Fauci is THE highest paid government employee in America.  Makes more than the president.

As for the house, it's only the liberal government employees who seem rich enough to afford better digs.

Oh my gosh, that is a pretty upscale house by MoCo standards. It was $1.2 million when it was purchased. With the housing values the way they are now, it's even more.

Well, he's paying for location, prestige, and age of the house (but you should see what you pay for around where the Bidens live in both Trolley Square and Greenville). You could indeed buy an excessively sized mansion for that price around my way, but that kind of money will only just get you a 'respectable sized' home in many parts of the MD/DC area.

Location prestige?  Is that East Coast talk?  Maybe the Feds should re-visit moving departments out of such a prestigious area and spread them around the country.

Hmm, I guess no real outrage that a SCOTUS Justice was the subject of an assassination attempt by a Leftist driven by the rhetoric of the likes of Chuck "whirlwind" Schumer and the rest of the intolerant Dems.  I wonder what the collective "Republic is Falling" outrage would be if this was Breyer, Sotomayor, or Kagan as the intended target.

Arrest outside Justice Kavanaugh's home is shocking. But, sadly, not surprising.

 

Even law professors seemed to call for mob action. Georgetown law professor Josh Chafetz declared that "when the mob is right, some (but not all!) more aggressive tactics are justified."

 

CNN’s Laura Jarrett's take on those saying that targeting the justices' homes was excessive and wrong: "I think for a lot of people a conversation about civility feels like it misses the mark."

 

Some politicians have also taken lightly far-left militants Antifa, a large anti-free speech movement. House Judiciary Committee Chair Jerrold Nadler has called the 2020 Antifa violent protests in Portland, Oregon, "a myth."

Chucky Schumer should be arrested for conspiracy.  He publicly threatened 2 SCOTUS justices 2 years ago.......He said that the 2 "would pay the price"..

The prestige is going to be the area that it's in, the age of the house (people really love old homes here), history of the home, and even the age of the land it's sitting on. Couple that with being close to where they work and the price skyrockets. Baltimore County has plenty of homes of this size going for that kind of money - they are state employees, doctors, executives, and people that just 'come from money'. And these homes are going for that much money in a heavy crime area. In the suburban counties around DC...  I have no idea why, but if a person knows their community is going to be filled with senators, lawyers, doctors, judges etc... people seem to want to pay that kind of money. And I guess if they have that money, go to it? Why would you want the feds to spread elsewhere? Good grief, the traffic jams they cause are insane and the prices drive everyone else out.

 

I once found an old deed from a great-great grandfather, that purchased land and was building "a modest cottage" for $4,000. That was a lot of money in 1904. Today that house is about $500,000 and it's right in a big crime area. It's no bigger than Kavanaugh's house probably. Still a ridiculous price, but home prices are stupid here now.

Home prices are stupid everywhere now.  Was just talking to a friend who bought 2 years ago about 20 minutes from me.  Paid a little over $500k.  House lists for $1.6M today.  Insane.

I Remember going to Panama City Beach around 2007. 850k condos as far as you could see that had been 200k a few years back. Visited a development across a busy highway from a mangrove beach. 900k 800 sqft A frames on a lot big enough to park only 1 car. 

 

I remember saying there is no way this can continue.  There are just not enough people with that kind of money. A lot of it was speculate investment.  We know what 2008 brought.
