Has anyone else applied for the Uniting for Ukraine program?

Avoid LAX if possible. Beneficiary plane landed and finished taxi at 315pm. Got out at 7pm and that was only after saying that she wasn't feeling well. They kept her and a bunch of other parolees (50-80 people) In a locked room, not allowing cell phones. "Interviews" were really slow... I had provided my beneficiary who doesnt speak any english with a statement saying where she will be staying, who will be picking her up, etc. And that seemed like it didn't help ease the process.

I applied for my sister in law and she was approved in 24 hours.  She arrived in the United States yesterday! That part of the process was extremely easy.  ...We aren't sure what happens now?  Is there anything besides the 765 she needs to fill out?   Is there like a checklist out there?

The first thing would be the TB screening. Not sure as there is any checklist after that.

After that, like you mentioned the I-765(Social Security card). Might want apply for advanced parole if she wants/needs to travel aboard(not sure if this works). Then probably health insurance, driver's license, etc

765 is EAD and I would expect you need that to get SSN which could take some time, they do seem to be coming through quicker

 

For DMV I assume a parolee would be the same as a visitor and their DL good for a year.

Good to hear EAD are getting processed a little quicker!

From my research on foreign driver's license validity is that it varies from state to state. Many states it is only valid for 120 days. From my recollection a few are as long as1 year, some are as short as 90 days.

For new residents it is all over the place, CA I think is 10 days

 

For non residents which I think a parolee is  the U S  has signed up to an International agreement I would be surprised if Ukraine is not included. 
 

Now if a parolee files to adjust then that would be different.

Can we file form I-765 online? Have to list eligibility category to file online and one of them is "Temporary Protected Status Granted/Pending". After coming to US under the Uniting for Ukraine program does the beneficiary have to file form I-821 (TPS)? Also, can the beneficiary get a waiver for the $410 application fee?

U4U is not TPS. So last I knew you will need to file a paper I-765. When you file the i-765 you can also file a I-912 fee waiver request.

My understanding is, Yes. I haven't heard a U4U beneficiary who has done this yet though. I-131 usually takes 3-5 months.

EAD/AP  was being issued as a Combo card in about 8 months

 

Then they split them up usually and  EAD is coming quicker AP seemingly longer.

 

U4U I assume will follow the same timeline bit too soon to know.

Hi Guys. I am about to file the I-134 for my friend with 13 year old doughter. I wonder if this would be a correct way of doing this. In March i was suppose to go to Ukraiane and we were planning on getting married in Ukraine. Then the war started and everything including my airline tickets got canceled. Then this program came to be and i would like to use the opportuninty to bring them ti the US somewhat quicker and out of the harms way. The question is  - will i be making a mistake by wollowing this path or should i take another avaenue?

One more question. Once the entry is granted for the beneficiary, how much time do they have to enter the US?
