Hi everyone.

Just received an update that my interview is to be scheduled.

This is almost 2 months after the biometrics appointment.

Has anyone had their interview yet? Could you please tell the rest of us what questions are being asked? How was your experience etc?

Congrats! You'd probably have some luck looking back on past filer threads or searching through the forum.

Did anyone end up making a sheet for WAC #'s? I feel like it was mentioned at some point but never saw a link for it if there was one (though it doesn't seem like it'd be particularly interesting at this point of time).

Hello!

i am here to ask questions like everyone else. Receive date was 5/23/2019 and Notice Date is 5/29/2019 - I received my 18 month extension. I am afraid to travel to Mexico or Canada. Has anyone travel outside the states with it? What is your experience? Also, has anyone receive their biometrics?

Thank you in advance.

Thank you in advance.

I went to Asia for about 3 weeks with my wife and upon return I presented my green card that was expiring on the day we arrived plus the extension letter. Officer mentioned that the green card was expiring that day and I told him that the paper in his hand was the extension letter, he looked at it and apologized. He asked about our trip. He did ask me if I was here in an F1 visa a while back and I was so I said yes. He asked my profession, stamped the passport and let us in. All in all he was very pleasant and professional. The automated kiosk wouldn’t recognize the green card, they weren’t sure if it was because the green card was expiring that day, so if you have trouble with that they will just tell you to go straight to the officer and let them know it wasn’t scanning and you have to fill the customs form by hand. Other than that it shouldn’t be a problem to travel unless you get the bio letter in the mail while you are away so I would get usps informed service to check your mail while you are abroad, that is what I did and also told my parents to check the mail every couple of days just in case.

also make sure to take pictures of your green card and extension letter and have them somewhere in an email or the cloud just in case.

Hi All, We received the Biometric appointment letter today.

Congratulations! Glad that things are moving forwards for you :)

I sent an inquiry to USCIS  about the biometric notice ( I have not received anything) and they replied they have requested to resend the notice to me. I am not sure if they already sent it and it got lost or something (because they say "resend"), but anyway I will keep waiting and hope things will be fine for me too :)

Hello!

i recently was able to check my status the uscis website. It would say the same thing, that they sent a letter. Which was my extension. As of today I wasn’t able too. Has this happened to anyone? Also, I haven’t received my biometric appointment. Some people who file around the same time I did, I read they received it by now. Stressing.

Biometrics will be the next step. They don't need them now (which is why you got the letter) but they will need them later on when they actually start processing your case. In many months from now you'll receive a new letter with a date for biometrics.
