Hi everyone!

I have just filed for my mom on 04/04/2022. Let the journey begin.

Hi Yuliya,

We wish you a smooth process. We are working on our daughter's. I think that after you get the NOA2 you can request an expedite. I heard Ukrainian beneficiaries have been approved quickly. I am trying to learn more about how they are processing cases for Ukrainian beneficiaries.

All the best - Eric & Iuliia

Hi everyone I Just did online filing for my mom on April 4 2022. I got the message today saying we have taken an action in your case. Did Anyone got such  message too? I went into my account to see but nothing was updated. Best of luck to everyone.

Yes, that likely means they generated the Receipt Notice, basically confirming it was received. If you log in to your account and go to Documents (under each application), you should see the PDF there.

This also happened to me. When I checked it was just letting me know that the  Receipt Notice was generated which can be found under the document tab.

Just checked my mom's case and it is now showing the following:

Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS

As of September 13, 2022,

I'm not sure if that means anything. My wife filed for her mother on July 7, 2022.

This is the update she received a week later.

As of July 15, 2022, we are actively reviewing your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative

It does no mean much really as it is still a waiting game.

Greetings everyone, I had filed my my mom's I-130 and I-485 concurrently on April 6, 2022. Just to be safe, I had applied 120 days after her entering the US on a B2 Visa. Her timeline is given below and I didn't use an attorney for her filing.
Wishing you all good luck smile.png

Timeline:
I-130/I-485 Concurrent Filing under IR-5 Category (EAD not applied, AP applied)
All documents were filed at the USCIS Phoenix Lockbox and sent via USPS Certified Mail

Field Office: Louisville, KY
Application Filed Date: April 6, 2022
Received Date: April 8, 2022
Biometrics Notice Date: July 2, 2022
Bio-Metrics Date: July 11, 2022
AR-11 & I-865 Change of Address Filed Date: Aug 22, 2022
I-130 Approval Date: Nov 29, 2022
I-485 Approval Date: Nov 30, 2022
New Card is being produced: Dec 2, 2022

Card picked up by USPS: Dec 5, 2022
SSN Received Date: Dec 5, 2022
I-130/I-485 Receipt series: IOE09158*****
Filed medicals with AOS application.
I-131(AP): Case Closed (Benefit Received By Other Means)
I did check with USCIS over phone for misspelled last name on I-485 application that I had noticed only upon receiving the receipt of the application. I had sent in a written request for the correction of the same and it was corrected promptly within a couple of weeks.

Congratulations to you and your mom. Your timeline shows really a quick turnaround and I am really happy for you. I have applied for mom on Dec 9th and it is with Seattle office and no info on I-130 or I-485 and the case is still under review. I am hearing they have a major backlog in Seattle. Anyone else having Dec submission and Seattle field office ?

By the way , I have a question. I am hearing once the I-130 & I-485 is approved, did your mom have to leave US and re-enter or no need to do it?

Thanks

Thank you. I don't believe that my my mom has to leave the US and re-enter. She has adjusted her status while being in the US so that is definitely not a requirement.

Good luck and best wishes to you and your mom to get the happy news of her approval quickly!

I forgot to add that my mom didn't have an interview for the I-485 application to adjust status.

Thanks . Good to hear that there is no such requirement to leave the US and re-enter. Wishing you and your mom a very enjoyable time together.
