N-400 after RoC - case transferred for I-751?

Everyone,

A year ago I filed for naturalization under the 3-year rule, just after the I-751 RoC was approved and I received a 10-year green card.

Today I received a message about my I-751 being transferred to a new office… but that case should be closed! I have a 10-year green card in my hand! Has this happened to anyone? Any idea what is happening? Case status of the naturalization has not changed since I applied.

Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It happens. If you get called for an I-751 interview bring a lawyer to help you defend your 10 year green card.

Why would I have to defend (from what?) my green card, let alone bring a lawyer with me?

Because USCIS thinks you have a pending I-751 case.

I have got the same update on my ROC case yesterday!

My ROC has been approved in early June with no RFE and no interview. I've received my 10-yr GC in June as well.  Although I have an open N-400 case and I'm wondering maybe they are combining the documents together, and sent those to my local office. It can be a good sign for receiving a citizenship interview appointment soon! I'll keep you posted as soon as I receive the letter in the mail.

Please don't stress yourself out. I'm hoping for the best for all of us! :)

Then this right here tells you it’s a glitch in their system or something like that

Came here to ask the same thing.  This morning I received an update to my husband's I-751 case that it was being transferred to another office.  Ummm...he's had his 10 year green card for a year already.

I am hoping it maybe means that they are looking at the N-400 and transferring the I-751 to the local office to merge the paperwork and schedule an interview.  But that's just my wishful thinking.  :P

Same here.  Applied for N400 end of March 2021, received 10 year Green Card April 2021 (no interview), and yesterday I-751 updated to "Your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, was transferred to another USCIS office" and today there is an update that says "Case was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction.  I'm really leaning towards the explanation above that the N400 is in final review at our local offices and they requested the I-751s be sent to have as a part of the final prep/interview.

Same here, ROC approved in March 2021, got an N400 pending and got the same message this morning. It has to be something to do with the N400, let's see what the letter says.

Im exactly the same as all of you. Approved my i-751 back in June 2021. Applied for naturalization in October 2021. So i am waiting for an interview date.

Yesterday I got a notification that my I-751 case is getting moved to a new office.

And Chicago is my local office.

Doesnt seem like anything to worry about.

Hello Eveyone,

I am actually still waiting on my I-751 to be approved, it has been a year and a week now, and I haven't heard back from USCIS until today, I have received an email that my I-751 has been transferred to another office for processing, I do have a N-400 that I applied for and was acknowledged by USCIS on 11/30/2021. I am hoping this all good news for us who have been waiting for their citizenship process to be complete. Good Luck everyone.
