Really?  Lagos is still backlogged.  He needs to realize that.  It is also known as the toughest consulate in the world for visa interviews.  Good luck.

I mean... if there was another way to do it, people would do it. Unfortunately you'll have to wait, just like everybody else.

Pinkish or light red flag. He chose this path, not just you. Don't justify his "change of attitude"

Without a valid expedite reason, there isn't much you can do.  Separation and waiting is, by far, the hardest part of the immigration process.  I wish you good luck.

Unfortunately immigration is tedious and long. I suggest you either have a talk with him or show him the processing times, so that he understands what he signed up for. Good luck.

From your timeline, it appears your case is in the backlogged Lagos queue at NVC.  Once your case reaches the front of that queue, NVC will schedule the interview.  I just don't know of any solution other than waiting.

Hubby's expedite request was based on emotional trauma due to separation.

Unfortunately, that is common for almost everyone who endures the spousal visa process.  Financial hardship, if it exists, might be more successful.

I do understand and sympathize with that. However, usually emotional trauma does not qualify as a valid reason to expedite, because everyone in your situation is experiencing it. Usually expedites are based on USC hospitalization, etc.
