This is beyond ridiculous that there is no rhyme or reason for the order in which they are approving the cases. 21xxx and stuck here.

Did you have and RFE? Did you submit N-400?

No RFE and cannot submit N-400 till we complete 5 years  (not married to citizen so there is that little hiccup 😐)

If the original I-485 interview was delayed by 15 days we would have had the 10 year old. Missed out by so little

I actually see quite a bit of cases untouched in 21XXX range, so you're not alone. Hang in there!

Definitely not FIFO.

Agreed, it's absolutely not FIFO. I imagine a big wheel of fortune with case numbers written on it, picked randomly.

We’re in the same boat. My case is in 21500-22000 range, and there’re just a few that were looked at. Same as in 21000-21500 range. Given that they’ve started approving 22000+ more actively we could be stuck for a while. I really hate it.

Yep, I really have no patience with USCIS. I have the unfortunate luck to go through the process with USCIS since 2007.

Woohoo time to celebrate @Elena & Craig !!!

In my understanding, there was a possibility of case being transfered WAC => NBC => Local field office. They could have held it until N-400 was ready for combo interview. I'm glad to hear it didn't go that route, because it would have delayed I-751 outcome.

I’m a very late October 2021(filed on 28th to be precise) filer, WAC. Decided to share my news here as well.
- RFE in October 2022

- Sent my response in January

- RFE response acknowledged on Jan 10

- Today, Jan 25 “New card is being produced”

HOORAY! And good luck to everyone here! My range was 11XXX.

Congratulations

Meanwhile Hacking changed the tone about N-400 while I-751 pending. Now he suggests applying (opposite to advice given only a few months ago):

Honestly I feel like N400 decision has always been service center by center.  Some it speeds them up, others it slows them down.

It would be great to understand exactly when I-751 is derailed due to N-400 and when it helps. Maybe I'm trying to find a logic where it doesn't exist...

So, I've been looking at the Case tracker APP, at the moment the Potomac center is approving the the forms filed between October and November 2020 (range around YSC2190021XXX).

There are scattered approvals for forms filed up to around May 2021.

Not sure yet whether or not N400 would be helpful at this stage.....
