  1. We also had K-1 Visa, and were required to submit the I-751. If you have a 2 year green card you will need to submit the I-751. You will not be able to naturalize until the 751 is approved.
  2. 10 year green card approved on April 12th! Now on to the N400 Appreciate everyone's help here
  3. Potomac is on fire approving I-751s! 10 year green card approved on April 12! Now on to the N400
  4. Congratulations! I see the Potomac center is approving applications sent in October 2021 and November 2021.
  5. Potomac service center is on fire approving I-751s! Right now I see October 2021 cases being approved
  6. and in some cases, after making people wait for years, then USCIS sends an RFE to prove that the marriage is still going on. In our case having to prove the relationship for the fiance visa, with the first interview at the embassy, preparing hundreds of pages of evidence for the 485 nerve-wracking interview, countless of sleepless nights, thousands of dollars spent, hundred of pages more of evidence for the 751, and 2 years later, still no definitive answer. at this point not sure if applying for the N400 is better than keeping on waiting.
  7. We did in November 22 in Ottawa. There are many groups in Facebook that you can find that discuss this issue.
  8. I see they're speeding the approval of 751 cases in YSC, hope they keep it up
  9. That's the thing, we are so close that an N400 at this point might be contra productive at this time
  10. Thank you for your analysis. We have been thinking about applying for citizenship, but at this point I guess it is better just to wait out the I751. If by February we still have not heard back we will send the N400. Next year is an electoral year and in the past they have expedited cases (don't know if that will happen with the current situation).
  11. Well, we've been waiting since November 2021. 24 months coming up quickly and still the crickets....
  12. The instructions do say to include affidavits, so, I would write them in English and have the parents sign them, and wouldn't bother with the translation.
  13. It only took a year to approve! How lucky! We're still waiting, it will be two years in November.....
  14. The only weird thing is that if you have a conditional green card, and the green card is about to expire, then you don't have the required three years of LPR status (if you're married to a US citizen) to be able to naturalize. I would think she had a 10 year green card and USCIS made a mistake.
