you are lucky! My parents got DQ on April 2020 and still no interview!

Hi! My mom’s IR5 case was DQ on Aug 2020 and she just got her interview date  yesterday and it will be on Nov 5.

you are lucky! My parents got DQ April 2020 and still waiting for an interview. I recently asked NVC to expedite their cases and still waiting for that too. 

 

When is your parents medical? Please update us on how their interview turns out. Thanks!

My mom did her medical exam last Friday Oct 22nd. She needed a negative PCR test and she did everything all at the same day. She got her shots and everything. The people in the clinic told my mom that she needed another negative PCR test for her interview. Il update here once the interview is done!

Thankyou! Does she need PCR test before the medical and  before the interview correct?

Hi all! New here. I filed Jan 2020 IR-5 for my parents @ DQ’d April 2021. I submitted expedite request on Sept 3rd and got approved on Oct 25th. NVC notified me that they will forward the files to MNL embassy and will receive IL from them. Hopefully to get it soon.

1 week from the expedite approval (I am getting excited to see if there’s interview schedule yet). Called US Embassy in MNL to see if my parents have appointments yet, nothing. But the agent opened a ticket for me to their Communications Unit to request a date for interview. She also had me create a profile for my parents on ustraveldocs.com/ph. 

 

It says they will respond within 1-2business days. Cross fingers!! 🥰

Just to update regarding my mom’s interview today. The interviewer only asked two questions. First is who is my co sponsor and thats my husband and second was regarding her name on my birth certificate. There was a little discrepancy on her name on the BC. After that, interviewer asked for her passport and no 221g letter was given to her. Consul told her that they will call her after a week for approval and they will deliver her passport thru mail. So I guess shes not yet approve but in the limbo of administrative processing. So i will update this again once she gets that call!

Quick update! I just checked the ceac visa status. And they updated it from Ready to Issued! My mom got approved! Thank God I was so anxious about the vagueness of her interview.
