Hi, everyone, USCIS announced that they'll require COVID vaccines for Green Card applicants.

FYI re my point above,  the document says IF a vaccine (approved by WHO or the FDA) is available in the country concerned then it’s required.

It’s not clear to me what the actual document he posted is though, would be nice if someone has an official USCIS, DoS or CDC link.

Vaccination requirements are set by CDC.  I haven't been able to find an official announcement from them (or DHS or State -- but they're likely busy with Afghan evacuation, Haiti earthquake, etc).  I do find these two sources somewhat credible, and they reference a CDC announcement made less than 24 hours ago:

https://www.natlawreview.com/article/covid-19-vaccine-added-to-requirements-green-card-processing-effective-oct-1

https://www.fragomen.com/insights/alerts/starting-october-1-cdc-requires-covid-19-vaccination-most-green-card-applicants

None of the official links show COVID vaccination as a requirement now, because it doesn't take effect until Oct 1st, according to these articles.  And, as others have pointed out, there will be exceptions/waivers because of unavailability, medical contra-indications, etc., if/when it becomes a requirement.
