Interview scheduled! 🙌

Got a notification last night (3/2) that my interview was scheduled for 04/21 in Atlanta. Now to prep for the test and get all the documents together.

From my understanding they are just testing from the 2008 civic test, I study and did my test on the 02/23 and only people who filed after December 1, 2020 and before March 1, 2021they have the option to get tested on the 2020 version or 2008.

The 2020 civic test was intended to create an additional and unnecessary barrier to naturalization, during the Trump administration.

Hello friends!

Had interview today and received recommendation for approval!

Officer was very nice, professional and friendly at the same time.

She didn't ask for any documents besides passport, gc & id. I brought full stack without reason. 🤣

I did upload everything with my application tho.

Overall, it was very good experience.

Hopefully oath ceremony comes soon, unfortunately they don't do them same day here in Chicago.

Good luck to everyone!

Update on my case: USCIS approved my N400 and put in line for Oath ceremony on 04/07/2022, exactly 70 days after the interview. My oath ceremony is scheduled for April 26th at Detroit USCIS field office.

I am so happy and relieved that this excruciating wait is over for me. :jest:

I don't know if it did help my case or not but its a very positive coincidence. I applied for FOIA for my full A-file and also for my I751 and N400 one month ago. Two weeks before my approval, FOIA got processed. I assume it might have helped with my N400 approval.

Now, off to the next stage of my life. Good luck to everyone else and I pray that everybody's case gets processed quick and approved soon.😃

Removal of Conditions:

08/20/2020 (Day 0)   --- Sent the ROC package to Phoenix, Arizona lockbox through USPS
08/22/2020 (Day 2)   --- Confirmation from USPS that USCIS received the packet.

08/28/2020 (Day 😎  --- NOA1 notification through email and text for the ROC.

09/02/2020 (Day 13) --- Received I-797, 18 month extension letter with notice date as 08/27/2020. 😇

10/17/2020 (Day 58) --- Received Biometrics notification through email and text that finger prints were applied from AOS stage.😁

06/11/2021 (Day 295) --- New Card is produced

Naturalization & US passport:

07/26/2021 (Day 1) --- Applied the form N-400 online and got the receipt notice.

07/28/2021 (Day 3) --- Received Biometrics notification in USCIS online account that finger prints were reused.😁

12/20/2021 (Day 148) --- Received online notification that Interview is scheduled for 01/27/2022 at Detroit USCIS Field Office.

01/27/2022 (Day 186)   --- Interview was successful but not given out right approval due to A-file not being available.

04/07/2022 (Day 256) --- Received notification that I am in line for Oath ceremony and it will be scheduled

04/11/2022 (Day 260)   --- Received notification that Oath ceremony was scheduled and notice was mailed. :jest:

Congratulations!!! I had my interview/test today and received a recoomendation for approval. The officer told me to wait for the Oath Ceremony notice to come in the mail, and gave me a tentative date of May 19. I was so nervous, I am just happy it is all done now.

I had my interview/civics test today in Minneapolis, MN. I arrived 30 minutes early as I am not familiar with the area, just wanted to have enough time to locate the right place and not be anxious about it. They allowed me to check in early, my original interview was set for 10:15, they called my case at about 9:50 after checking in.  The officer was very polite. It felt like he only asked me a handful of questions for the civics test, the English test was practically just answering a question in writting on the ipad.  He asked all the general questions contained in the application, also questions about where I live, what I do for work, if I am still married and how many children I have. I signed the oath on the ipad and then he said this is how your signature will appear on your "naturalization cerficate" which made me so happy because so far I had not been told I was approved. Then he said I am recommending you for approval and hand the me the N-652 form with the "Congratulations" your application has been recommended for approval" checkbox marked.  He said to wait for the Oath Ceremony notice in the mail, and that it was very likely that I'd be scheduled for May.  I was out by 10:20, so roughly 30 minutes.

Good luck to everyone still waiting for interviews and approvals. I started this journey 14 years ago and I am so glad to finally have taken this final step.

I have now an Oath date for May 19, 2022, I haven't received the notice in the mail yet but it was posted on my USCIS account online.  Total time for my process is 10 months, from filing online to Oath Ceremony, my office was Minneapolis, MN. I did get the biometrics waived, so I am sure that made things go a little faster too. Good luck to everyone still waiting!
