  1. She waived her name change so that she could take the oath today
  2. So my wife’s long journey comes to an end foday She passed her citizenship and I-751 was approved. We asked for same day oath and they have one today! Going back at 1130 to take the oath
  3. Updated timeline for us: August 2020: Filed I-751 November 2020: I-751 transferred to NBC July 2021: Filed N-400 in Atlanta April 2021: file a FOIA request to find out why the I-751 hasn't moved and request copy of N-400 file June 2, 2022: Interview scheduled for N-400 for July 14, 2022 ~June 10, 2022: I wrote a letter to Atlanta FO asking that N-400 and I-751 be a combo interview June 28, 2022: FOIA completed, documents provided to us July 2, 2022: Received notice that I-751 and N-400 will be the same date and time My wife is changing her name so I think she will have to take oath in front of a judge. According to the northern district of Georgia's website, there are oath ceremonies August 12 and August 26, so hopefully we are under 2 months away from being completely finished
  4. Are you in Atlanta area or elsewhere in Georgia? The Northern District lists the following dates, I can't find any online for the middle or southern districts (Middle is Macon area, Southern in Savannah area and up to Augusta I believe): August 12, 2022 – Ceremonies to be held in the Atlanta Division at 10:00am and 1:30pm August 26, 2022 - Ceremony to be held in the Atlanta Division at 11:00am September 7, 2022 – Ceremony to be held in the Gainesville Division September 16, 2022 – Ceremony to be held in the Rome Division October 14, 2022 – Ceremonies to be held in the Atlanta division at 10:00am and 1:30pm November 18, 2022 – Ceremony to be held in the Newnan Division December 9, 2022 – Ceremonies to be held in the Atlanta division at 10:00am and 1:30pm

  6. Update to our timeline: Filed I-751 in August 2020 Biometrics reused It was transferred to NBC in November 2020 Filed N-400 July 2021 Filed a FOIA request in mid April 2022 Received notice of my wife's N-400 interview June 2, 2022 Sent letter to my local field office mid June 2022 requesting that the N-400 be a combo interview FOIA request completed June 28, 2022 Receive notice of I-751 interview for same place/time as N-400 on July 2, 2022 Interview set for July 14, 2022 in Atlanta field office
  7. We filed for N-400 in July 2021. We still don't have an update on I-751 since it was transferred to NBC in November 2020. I filed a FOIA request on both the N-400 and I-751 on April 26, 2022 and we received my wife's interview notice for N-400 on May 2nd. FOIA was completed this morning. Still no notifications on I-751
  8. Has anyone had success filing a FOIA request related to a very out of time I-751? Does anyone know how to cancel? We filed in August 2020 and no movement since. I filed an out of time request and there was no response. Filed N-400 in July 2021. I filed a FOIA request in April and it had an estimated completion date of June 8, 2022. On June 2, 2022 we got my wife's N-400 scheduled for interview for July 14, 2022. Well we were already near the queue of the FOIA request so I figured why not see it through to completion. We were up to approximately 150th in queue and it kept kicking us to a later completion date. Finally June 15 came and went and they began moving us down the queue. We are now 1500th place in the queue with an estimated completion date of the already passed June 16th. So we have the N-400 scheduled. I want to just cncel. I dont want anything to get in the way of the July 14th interview (potential that the files dont get transferred to our field office). But there's nothing online about how to cancel. The FOIA email account stopped responding to me when I asked how to cancel. Calling they will not put you through to an agent regarding FOIA. Our status is the following so I'm wondering if I can't stop it now that they've already pulled the docs: Case in Process- The National Records Center is processing your responsive documents
  9. Did they tell you ahead of time that it was a combo interview? My wife got her N400 interview notice for next month, but the I-751 is still stuck on November 18, 2020 Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction
  10. Interesting, thanks I was under the impression they had to approve the I-751 before you became a citizen, even if it's just them checking that box Maybe they checked the box for you
  11. where is your oath ceremony? We got notice last week that my wife's interview is set for July 14. She still has a pending I-751 and we didnt get any word on that, so I hope they do the interview together.
  12. Update: today we got notice that my wife’s N400 is scheduled for July 14. No word on I-751, thinking I’ll call USCIS tomorrow to see if it will be a combo interview
  13. I actually found out tonight that my wife’s interview for N-400 was set for July 14 did you get a notice of it being a combo interview? It appears we’re only getting interview notice for N400
  14. gotcha, we filed I751 in August 2020 and N400 in July 2021 I-751 sent to national benefits in November 2020
