Maybe a silly question, but now that we all have our NOA2 is the Case Tracker app now useless?

I didn’t use it for anything else afterI was approved so I uninstalled it. I still use lawfully though. They have a small forum where you can ask questions so that’s why I’ve kept it

Found out our embassy closed again yesterday and won’t be requesting new cases for a while. The NOA2 we got says it is only valid through November 7 (4 months from our NOA2 date) and expires then—what if the interview ends up being scheduled after this date, due to delays? Is there any way to extend it?

Hey all! Just got my NOA2 on July 13. As happy as we are to get to this step, we still don't know how long it will take for the consulate to give us an interview date. Looks like NOA2 from November 2020 are getting interview dates for august 2021 in Montreal consulate :( That's worrisome. I hope the interviews go through faster since the approval notice itself is only valid for 3 months. Keeping my fingers crossed for all of us. Good Luck!

The consulate will automatically extend it

If you have the time try giving them a call, they gave me my case number over the phone and we have similar dates.

Also they recommended to check junk/spam folders frequently as their emails tend to get sorted there by mailbox filters.

I received after calling them twice. If you call first thing in the morning (7am) you usually get put on hold 20-30 mins. Our case was approved on July 9th, we received our physical NOA2 in the mail on July 15th. NVC received the case July 21st. I called July 23rd and was told they'd received the case but it hadn't been assigned a case number yet and they recommended calling back the following week. Called back July 28th and got the case number.

Hope that helps.
