The Zinn Education Project, which organized Saturday’s events, cranks out race-centric material for schools across the country. Lesson plans are free for schools to download. Parents wondering where the anti-American ideas their kids are getting come from can visit the Web site. Prepare to be shocked.

 

The project was founded by the late Howard Zinn, a Marxist historian who famously said that teaching social studies wasn’t about dates and events and forming well-informed citizens: The goal, he insisted, was to impel students to want to change the world, overthrowing the status quo.

 

A Zinn lesson called “Students Design a Reparations Bill” asks students to improve on the “flimsy” reparations bills floating in Congress. Critical thinking isn’t encouraged. This isn’t a debate about whether there should be reparations. It’s one-sided indoctrination. “As racial justice activists, students are all on the ‘same side’ in this role play,” says the Zinn site.

 

Other hard-left groups supplying social-studies materials for schools include the Southern Poverty Law Center and Black Lives Matter at School. SPLC instructs educators to stand their ground against parents and “resist efforts to maintain the status quo.” No wonder parents get the runaround.

You can see the tide turning already when some of the prominent Democrats coming out and trying downplay the racist nature of CRT.  I often wonder, what do these proponents of CRT tell the children of one white parent and one black parent?  Do they tell that child that their white parent is an oppressor, and their black parent is a victim?  Children inherently are not racist, but they certainly can learn racism especially when it is spoon fed to them in public schools.

The Left tried to use last summer’s momentum from the Black Lives Matter movement to push its destructive ideas of so-called “anti-racism” and critical race theory. Now, they’re frantically trying to redefine the terms of the debate, as the momentum has built up against them instead.

 

Liberals are now asking that you pay no attention to the curriculum behind the curtain. They have taken to insisting that critical race theory isn’t actually being taught in K-12 schools, even though there are clear examples that show that it is. The New York Times even wrote in July 2020 about the “anti-racism” programs being brought to parents and staff in various school districts. Another New York Times piece published just two weeks ago noted that critical race theory is a "framework that has found its way into K-12 public education."

What I discovered about critical race theory in public schools and why it shouldn't be taught
 

First, a definition: Critical race theory is an academic discipline that claims that the United States was founded on racism, oppression and white supremacy – and that these forces are still at the root of our society. Some supporters of critical race theory claim it is merely a "lens," arguing that "race is a social construct" and that racism is "systemic" not individual, but this is a strategic retreat that fails to grapple with some of the theory's more controversial concepts.

 

Critical race theory reformulates the old Marxist dialectic of oppressor and oppressed, replacing the class categories of bourgeoisie and proletariat with the identity categories of white and Black. But the basic conclusion is the same: In order to liberate man, society must be fundamentally transformed through moral, economic and political revolution. 

 

In simple terms, critical race theory can be seen as a form of “race-based Marxism"; they share a common conceptual framework. Critical race theory was derived from “critical theory,” a 20th century ideology sometimes called “neo-Marxism.”

Critical Race Theory ignores anti-Semitism

 

Today, Asian-Americans and groups like Hindus in the UK generally outperform whites in school and incomes — despite a history of discrimination against them, even after leaving harsher discrimination in East Africa. Instead of embracing this history, many advocates of CRT see this success as an affront. Although clearly “people of colour,” Asians have transcended “whiteness” by dint of hard work and educational achievement.

 

As a result, at Harvard, the birthplace of CRT, Asians now face official discrimination, much as Jews did in the last century. In the same vein, when violence is inflicted on Asians, advocates of CRT even suggest that it is somehow the product of white nationalism. Meanwhile, some racial theorists, like Robin DiAngelo, accuse Asians of being “white adjacent”, non-whites who succeed to copping Anglo attitudes.

 

It is strange, then, that while CRT advocates seek to obliterate three thousand years of unique history, much of the Jewish Establishment — including the Anti-Defamation League — has been slow to distance themselves from Black Lives Matter, even after riots led to desecrations of synagogues. They even embraced BLM allies like Al Sharpton, a Brooklyn preacher with a history of leading anti-Jewish protests.

 

In modern America, Jewish leaders would rather adopt the politically acceptable focus on white nationalists as their biggest threat. But that doesn’t change the fact that despite several bloody incidents perpetrated by individual white nationalists, a significant proportion of recent attacks on Jews came from African Americans, criminals, the mentally ill or by Palestinian activists. Neo-Nazis are not thick on the ground in Brooklyn or the Fairfax district of Los Angeles where recent acts of violence have occurred.

CRT is all about a college level debate.  Apparently those on the Left are in support of the great progress they are making with their racist teachings.
