Not sure if I am posting this in the right area.  However,  I have a friend in California that has a wife from Mexico and he filed a petition for her sister about six years ago.  He was told that the waiting period is about 19 years.  He wants to know what the wait time is for a US citizen to bring a sibling from Mexico. Does anyone have information on this?  Thank you.

I assume you meant he helped his wife petition for her sister?

Mexico has one of the longest waiting times for immediate relative visas, unfortunately.  As of this month (May 2021), they are processing F4 visas from 08AUG98.  Almost 23 yr wait.

I don't it is even possible to petition siblings at all  in most countries.

Pretty sure you can not in Mexico, there are a few but think US is the only first world country.
