Received Bio letter last week of July

Biometric appointment today, August 20th 2021

The United States is now a country obsessed with the worship of its own ignorance.  Americans are proud of not knowing things.  They have reached a point where ignorance, is an actual virtue.  To reject the advice of experts is to assert autonomy, a way for Americans to insulate their increasingly fragile egos from ever being told they're wrong about anything.  It is a new Declaration of Independence: no longer do we hold these truths to be self-evident, we hold all truths to be self-evident, even the ones that arent true.  All things are knowable and every opinion on any subject is as good as any other.  The fundamental knowledge of the average American is now so low that it has crashed through the floor of "uninformed", passed "misinformed", on the way down, and now plummeting to "aggressively wrong."

Hi. We also sent our package in May.

Ive had my biometrics like 2 weeks a go but my case status hasnt changed. I see people get the "case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" update, and i havent. I wonder if this is normal. :(

Also how do you check your status? I go to the uscis site and just put my receipt number. Maybe there is other way?

How come you all have to go for biometrics? I got a letter that said: You did your biometrics for your greencard, it's not neccessary anymore. And that was it. Got those letters in June somewhere. Then I got a letter that said: extended for 18 months until further processing. Is something wrong?

What does the notice say? What form number does the notice show AND what for number did you file?

From what you say. Those updates sound like an I90 filing or i751 🧐🤔

I figured! Those notices are fine. You don't need new biometrics they are applying old ones during covid.

And your extension is 18 months while ROC processes.

Yeah I know. But you know how it goes... everyone gets a bit nervous when it takes ages. I have no idea what the timeline is for this part and wanted to check with the others. Seem everyone is in the same boat.

does anyone know if it is possible to submit an expedite request on your combo card so that you can apply for new jobs or do you have to have a job offer in hand before submitting the request?
