I’m so bad at this and my children DQ is so so so far that I better sit, relax and enjoy, but where can I see the NVC date? I used to watch videos on YouTube but that was making me more anxious I decided to stop and now i can’t find that information

sorry to bother, but can you tell me where to find that?

thanks in advance

The Visa Bulletin, it's released once a month. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2025/visa-bulletin-for-june-2025.html

In all of my civil documents, my father's name is spelled TarafdAr, while in my immigration petition (filed by my mother), his name is spelled TarafdEr. My father is deceased. Will this name discrepancy affect my F2B family-based immigrant visa?

Should I match my father name on birth certificate

I like consistency but this is not material.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Thanks, I’ll keep the consistency. Should I mention anything about this in the DS-260 form?

Don't know -I haven't filled DS-260- question to you is that "Does DS-260 provide a space for that?" - If it does you should follow the rule & fill it. The more "correct" info you provide to them the better - or else they send you RFIE - you will have to send it then.

Interesting. Would really like to understand why some embassies do process high number of Immigrant (Family) visas than others, esp the Dominican Republic? Does it mean the embassy over there is well staffed than others, and if so why? Crazy to Imagine they would process 36k Family visas a year while other high traffic embassies process these visas only in the hundreds.

No one knows - they have their own 'pace of work' their own reasoning, their policies, load of work etc. - patience is the key - nothing we can do - just wait, hope & pray

I just ChatGPTed why and a got a pretty elaborate, satisfying answer. :)

As you said, we wait!
