  1. I don't think it matters, but how is it possible you haven't had your interview scheduled yet? You've had a PD that's been current for awhile. Also, unrelated and for those interested, USCIS has released more info on last years visa numbers. Check it out at below link: https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Statistics/Immigrant-Statistics/WaitingList/WaitingListItem_2023_vF.pdf
  2. May Visa Bulletin is out! Final action date moved to April 1 2016! https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2024/visa-bulletin-for-may-2024.html
  3. I have no idea how they calculated this number, but I found this on the National Immigration Forum. If these numbers are the correct ones than none of the above countries in previous post actually exceeded their limit:
  4. Seems like for the rest of FY 2024 based on this: The above final action date projections for the Family and Employment categories indicate what is likely to happen throughout Quarter Three and Quarter Four of FY24.
  5. April Visa Bulletin is out, no movement this time. Though there was this at the bottom: E. VISA AVAILABILITY IN THE COMING MONTHS FAMILY-sponsored categories (potential movement): Worldwide dates: F1: Up to three months F2A (excluding Mexico): Up to six months F2B: Up to ten weeks F3: Several months F4: Up to four weeks
  6. Do these numbers include the second preference that is exempt from country limitations?
  7. March Visa Bulletin is out and we got significant movement! Final Action date moved to Nov. 22nd 2015. That's almost two months forward from last visa bulletin.
  8. Very disappointing since it moved so little last time. Hopefully next month we get better news.
  9. Where did you get the amount of unused family visas for 2023? I didn't think we had that info yet. Even if immigration lawyers made noise, it would be useless as Congress would need change the law and right now they can't agree on anything immigration related.
  10. I see it as a positive because it should mean they have gotten through the Covid backlog, and that means we should start to see more steady movement. It also seems they are being very conservative with moving it forward. We will have a better idea in the coming months.
  11. We have to remember the monthly reports aren't accurate. There's a disclaimer because DR cannot get more visas than legally allowed. WE need to wait for the annual report which should be out soon to get a true idea.:
  12. August 2023 Visa Issuances has been published. Dominican Republic received 1330 F2B visas for that month.
  13. F1 final action didn't move in the October Bulletin either, and F2B is still a few months ahead, but it is up to you to decide.
  14. The backlog numbers are interesting, but since it is for all categories, it's not super helpful to figure out where we are with F2B.
